We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you'll build
In this role, you'll design and develop competitive total rewards programs that shape how SAP attracts, motivates, and retains top talent globally — with a particular focus on executive compensation strategy and design. As part of the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, you'll build and own compensation frameworks end-to-end, from structure design and governance to implementation and ongoing optimisation, ensuring they are both market-competitive and aligned to SAP's business strategy.
A core part of your mandate is the end-to-end management of executive compensation programs — including long-term incentive (LTI) plan design, executive pay benchmarking, and compensation governance frameworks. You will lead the design and delivery of executive reward structures that support SAP's leadership model, working closely with senior P&C leadership and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with performance, retention, and regulatory requirements.
Your work will directly impact how employees and leaders experience SAP's value proposition, and how senior decision-makers reward and retain critical talent. You'll develop program models, conduct market analyses, and translate complex data into clear, executive-ready recommendations for senior business and People and Culture (P&C) leadership.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's in HR) preferred.
6–8+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or a related field, with a strong focus on compensation and rewards design in a global environment.
Demonstrated expertise in executive compensation design and management, including LTI plan design, executive pay benchmarking, equity program governance, and executive-level compensation structures — including familiarity with regulatory and governance considerations relevant to executive pay.
Proven track record of owning enterprise-wide rewards initiatives end-to-end — from initial design and stakeholder alignment through implementation, change management, and post-launch evaluation — managing timelines, milestones, and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Experience preparing executive-ready materials and presenting compensation recommendations to senior P&C leadership, with the ability to communicate complex reward concepts clearly and credibly at all levels.
Experience building strong partnerships with HR, Finance, Legal, and senior business leaders, with the ability to influence across levels and functions without direct authority.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You are comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organisations and balancing diverse stakeholder needs while maintaining a strategic perspective. You bring a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear, actionable outcomes. Experience in executive compensation within a Center of Excellence (CoE), management consulting, or a global corporate environment will set you up for success, as will a genuine curiosity for evolving rewards practices and executive pay trends.
Where you belong
You'll collaborate across Total Rewards pillars, regional teams, and business stakeholders to ensure programs are globally consistent yet locally relevant — solving for design gaps, scaling best practices, and advancing the maturity of SAP's total rewards philosophy.
