Job Description

Project Administrator | Warrington | Hybrid | £30,177

At United Utilities, we deliver essential services that support millions of customers across the North West. Behind every successful project is a strong support network of people who keep information flowing, stakeholders connected, and teams focused on delivery.

We're looking for a Project Administrator to join our team and play a key role within the HARP project, providing operational and administrative support across a busy and evolving programme environment. This is an opportunity to become a trusted member of the team, supporting project delivery through effective communication, coordination, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

With a team of experienced SMEs and working alongside Project Coordinators, a Junior Project Manager, and the HARP Business Interface Manager, you'll be joining a close knit and supportive team where collaboration is valued and everyone plays an important part in the success of the project. You'll have the freedom to take ownership of your responsibilities while also having experienced colleagues around you to provide guidance and support whenever you need it.

This role sits at the heart of the project, helping to ensure the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You'll work across a wide range of activities, supporting colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders while helping drive greater efficiency and consistency throughout the project.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage project communication and document management systems, including A Site and CEMAR, ensuring information is shared effectively, governance standards are maintained, and priority issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Provide support and guidance across project systems and documentation, administering user access, permissions, workspaces, and document control processes within HARP.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve system effectiveness, and increase efficiency across the project.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, training sessions, and project events, managing schedules, agendas, documentation, actions, and follow up activity.
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the project team, preparing reports, presentations, meeting packs, taking minutes, correspondence, and project updates while helping keep project activities organised and on track.
  • Build strong relationships across the project, acting as a key point of contact for colleagues, contractors, regulators, and external stakeholders, while maintaining accurate records, SharePoint folders, and project documentation to a high standard.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience supporting projects, programmes, or delivery teams, with an understanding of project processes, stakeholder coordination, and effective administration.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership, and maintain excellent attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, senior stakeholders, regulators, and external partners, including Ofwat.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in MS office software.

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to be part of a high profile project where your contribution will be visible, valued, and genuinely impactful. You'll have exposure to a broad network of stakeholders across the business and externally, giving you the chance to build meaningful relationships and develop your experience within a major project environment.

You'll join a supportive team that encourages collaboration, gives you the autonomy to take ownership of your role, and values fresh ideas that improve the way things are done. No two days are quite the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on building connections, and takes pride in keeping projects running smoothly.

If you're looking for a role that combines project exposure, stakeholder engagement, ownership, variety, and the support of a genuinely collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note that this role may not be eligible for employer sponsorship.

Note: At United Utilities, we believe people are more than just applications. Every application is personally reviewed by our recruitment team and hiring manager. We do not use AI or automated screening tools to assess applications.
