Job Description

Joining a highly skilled & valued team, our Commercial Manager position is a varied role, where you will be working on key initiatives, building both internal and external relationships with our cross-functional team and Insurance providers, and helping to deliver our Insurance strategy!

Giving you the chance to lead on relationships with multiple insurers, as well as get involved in project management, product development, developing your commercial competence, and analytical skills. You will help deliver the long-term channel strategy, balanced against a focus on activities which help us grow performance in-year!

This role will give you the opportunity to deliver on the Protection and Health Insurance strategy - gaining exposure to all levels of our business and external partnerships!

What will your daily life look like?

  • Support the day-to-day performance and trading of the Protection and Health insurance channel, working with internal and external partners to deliver budget.
  • Sell promotional tenancy placements to insurance partners. Review performance to ensure deals work for users, partners, Moneysupermarket and Quidco
  • Support with commercial and contract negotiations with our insurance partners.
  • Understand market insights to highlight potential growth or new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Product team to optimise the customer experience alongside our external partners.
  • Use data insights to understand current performance and identify future channel and market trends.
  • Build close working relationships with internal business partners in Finance to continually monitor the financial performance of the channel.
  • Work closely with our Marketing colleagues to identify growth opportunities for the channels and to run day to day performance.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Procurement to ensure third party relationships are led in line with MSMG processes

3. Phone interview with Lauren & Senior Stakeholder - 1 hour

What do we need from you?

  • Proven success in a commercial role, understanding key trading levers and performance drivers.
  • Shown success driving forward commercial channels & relationships
  • Proven success building external relationships, with examples of influencing and negotiation.
  • A high level of analytical experience, with a focus on translating data into actionable insight to generate growth and new opportunities, using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc
