As we continue to expand our footprint in Europe, we are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of the Grenade brand across various European markets. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in category management, market analysis, trade activation and relationship building skills to aggressively grow the brand in these markets. In this role, you will also partner closely with the local distribution partners, driving joint success for all involved.

How you will contribute
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Lead efforts to drive sales and revenue growth in each market by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and e-commerce partners.
- Implement effective sales strategies and ensure that growth targets are met through strategic pricing, promotions, and product availability.
- Collaborate with local teams to maximize joint sales opportunities and align on growth targets to expand distribution.
Collaboration with Distribution Partners:
- Foster a strong, collaborative partnership with the local distribution teams. Work closely with them to ensure alignment on business objectives, sales strategies, and execution plans.
- Provide guidance and direction to relevant teams to support Grenade's growth objectives in each market.
- Leverage internal and external expertise and resources to achieve mutual business goals.
New Market Expansion:
- Assess future market expansion opportunities and implement favorable route to market, ensuring profitable growth.
Category Management & Strategic Analysis:
- Support the category development of each market.
- Conduct category analysis to identify growth opportunities, optimize product placement, and ensure Grenade's portfolio aligns with market demand and retailer priorities.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop category-specific plans that drive mutual growth and increase Grenade’s market share.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior within the health and nutrition sector.
- Use insights to develop actionable strategies, stay ahead of competitive threats, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Leverage data to refine product offerings and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with local teams to align on shared market insights and strategies.
Trade Activation & Product Visibility:
- Support trade activation initiatives and ensure Grenade’s products are highly visible across key retail channels in each market.
- Develop and implement localized trade strategies to improve product placement and visibility in stores.
- Collaborate with the local team to ensure optimal execution and alignment with retailer priorities.
New Product Development (NPD) & Launches:
- Lead the development and market launch of new products in each region. Work cross-functionally with the internal product and operational teams to ensure new product offerings meet local consumer needs, retailer requirements, and competitive dynamics.
- Manage the project process from concept to execution, following internal ways of working to ensure successful product introductions.
P&L Management:
- Take full responsibility for the P&L for Grenade’s operations in each assigned market.
- Track financial performance, identify areas to improve profitability, and ensure budget adherence while driving sales and operational efficiency.
- Optimize cost structures to balance profitability with market competitiveness.
- Work alongside the local teams to ensure financial targets are achieved.
What you will bring
Experience:
- Extensive experience in account management, category management, commercial strategy, or similar leadership roles within consumer goods, nutrition, or health & wellness.
- A strong background in distributor management, market analysis, trade activation, and P&L management is essential.
Category Management Expertise:
- Deep expertise in category management, with the ability to use data and insights to drive product strategies and optimize brand presence across retail channels.
- A solid understanding of how to position products to maximize both visibility and profitability.
Market & Competitor Insight:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis.
- Experience in leveraging market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Sales & Distribution Focus:
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Strong understanding of distribution networks in mainland Europe.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, drive cross-functional collaboration, and influence senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Acumen:
- Strong P&L management skills with the ability to drive profitable growth while balancing short-term objectives with long-term strategy.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in another European language is desired but not essential.
Analytical & Data-Driven:
- A highly analytical mindset, with a strong focus on using data to guide decisions and measure success.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and understanding of key performance metrics.
