How you will contribute

You will:

  • Provide data collation, story-telling and action-oriented recommendations.
  • Be responsible for the stewardship, governance and continued growth of the Demand Spaces data foundation.
  • Create and maintain intuitive, engaging dashboards (Excel, Tableau or other).
  • Understand the consumer landscape through analysis of the consumer and market dynamics, the structure of the market (i.e. occasions & need states, product domains, retail dynamics etc.) and macroeconomic, culture and people and channel trends.

This role sits within the Central Snacking Category and Regional Brands team who are working to drive growth through Brand Strategy and Innovation and Regional Brands within EU. The role of Insights & Analytics within that team is to be proactive, strategic growth advisors to drive growth and business results. To do that we must focus on our Impact be being more and more Clear (on the ‘why’ of the work we do), Courageous ( to speak up, call out and try new things) and Connected (to our insights community internally and externally to leverage our collective intelligence) to bring the most holistic insights in the most efficient way.

How you will contribute

Together with team leaders you will help uncover category/brand/innovation trends and insights to drive long-term business results and inform strategies/ activations to optimise operational effectiveness. You work in close partnership with other business functions to incite insight driven action and are confident in transforming complex data into advanced data models/dashboards that help reveal the human motivations and behaviours. Areas of work will likely include:

  • Lead the learning and insights for Chocolate Innovation
  • Generate category/brand/innovation insights and engagement levers from multiple sources of data that focuses on delivering consumer behaviour change.
  • Assist in the execution of research projects that generate necessary data to form insights. This involves coordinating research briefs, managing data collection and extraction, helping to analyse and interpret results and agency management (if outsourcing)
  • Work with insight colleagues to form recommendations (strategy, ideas, activations) grounded in insight that enables the category/brand/innovation to best meet its audience’s needs.
  • Assists in the preparation and presentation of insights to key stakeholders within the organization including creating data visualizations & presentations to communicate points clearly.

  • An ability to build relationships with stakeholders which creates an environment to influence, to help them create the pause before jumping to solutions and ultimately where you guide them in making the consumer centric decisions.
  • An ability to ask great questions to unlock the right research brief and create momentum in the project/business challenge.
  • Experience working directly with Marketing teams and designing, executing, and analysing primary & secondary data sources.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements

  • FMGC/CPG experience- preferably in the Food & Beverage market
  • Must be fluent in business English for reporting purposes.
  • Ideally experience working in or exposure to minimum 1-2 markets/categories or brands
  • Experienced using AI tools to synthesize and analyse data
  • Able to collate data points into a coherent story to communicate a vision and get business stakeholders on side.
  • Familiar with major ad-hoc techniques: Product Testing, Brand positioning, Communications development, Packaging research, NPD, online communities, quantitative and qualitative tools.
  • Experience using digital tools (e.g. Google software's incl Analytics.), data visualization tools and creating dashboards using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, PyDash to showcase data and present findings.
  • Experience analysing traditional CPG data sources is a plus (including but not limited to Nielsen data, Consumer Panel Data, Media Spends data, Promo Data, and data from other external portals such as Euromonitor, Global Data, Mintel)
  • Prior experience working on equity and or innovation preferred.
  • Direct experience working across multiple cultures preferred.
