As our Category Development Specialist, you’ll be the data and insights engine within our Revenue Growth Team in the commercial side of the business. In a high performing team, you will analyze the market through different KPIs to create strong plans for the future. You ensure that customer plans are developed and executed by supporting the delivery of strategies and tactics for growth. You understand the business metrics and financial drivers needed to unlock profitable growth for Mondelēz International and our customers and work with key account managers to implement plans to deliver our annual target.
You will have an opportunity to work with great tasting brands like Marabou, TUC, OREO, Philadelphia.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Own and deliver category dashboards and performance tracking, ensuring targets are visible and on track across channels and customers
- Translate data from multiple sources (e.g., ICA Self Serve, Nielsen) into actionable category, shopper, and consumer insights that drive commercial decisions
- Create compelling, data-backed category stories and selling narratives for retailer engagement and Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
- Track and report on distribution, availability, and assortment performance — supporting NPD launches with early performance reads and gap identification
- Act as the key linkage between the Growth Team and Customer Business Teams, ensuring strategies align to customer needs
- Support demand planning and the annual business planning cycle with scenario analysis, target-setting inputs, and baseline modelling

- Experience in category management, shopper analytics, or commercial insights within FMCG/CPG

- Proven ability to create compelling presentations that turn data into actionable stories for both internal and external stakeholders
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with the confidence to influence through the strength of your analysis
- Business acumen and understanding of how category performance connects to commercial strategy
More about this role
- Education / Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or other relevant field is required.
- Job specific requirements:
Excellent analytical capabilities with experience in data interpretation and visualization
Ability to translate complex data into compelling category stories and commercial recommendations
Highly proficient communication and presentation skills
Strong collaborative and cross-functional approach
Experience with market data tools (e.g., Nielsen, ICA Self Serve) is meriting
- Experience in category management, shopper analytics, or commercial insights — with a track record of delivering actionable, data-driven recommendations — is required.
- Experience of FMCG market is required.
- Language: Full professional fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Knowledge of Nielsen data and ICA Self Serve is meriting.
