The Site Finance Manager serves as a trusted business partner in the Finance organization and provides financial leadership as the co-pilot & financial accountant for manufacturing sites. As a member of the factory leadership team, this role leads the pursuit of operational excellence and cost efficiency through a variety of initiatives, including cost & inventory management, Value Leadership/Productivity, asset utilization, governance and controls, and building financial acumen. This position provides transparency on operating results, clarifies key performance indicators for Manufacturing through variance analysis, cost structure analysis, benchmarking, period reporting, and is a key leader in the strategic planning. The Site Finance Manager roles support low/medium complexity sites (determined by site Annual Sales, number of site technologies, headcount population and capital investment)

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in finance/accounting

  • Ability to travel up to 45%

  • Understanding of cost and management accounting systems and processes, capital project evaluation, and analytical techniques.

  • Financial Insights and Analysis – management of systems and processes to produce high-quality financial information, the application of analytical techniques to derive critical insights from this information, and the effective communication of financial information and insights to the business.

  • Financial Processes – knowledge of and ability to design, implement, continually improve upon, and govern the standard financial processes in order to deliver efficient and effective financial operations with the right balance of cost, quality, control and service.

  • Financial Control – The knowledge and application of business processes, internal control concepts and practices, and auditing techniques to ensure cost-effective protection of business assets and approval of and governance over business activities at the appropriate level in the organization.

  • Financial Shaping and Decision Making – knowledge and application of financial shaping philosophy and development and implementation of processes and tools used to shape the financial performance of the business and evaluate the activities and investments involved in deploying strategy.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • As a member of the site leadership team, provide financial guidance for the manufacturing sites in the following capacity:

  • Manage all financial areas of manufacturing, including ownership and accountability for proper reconciliations of the related balance sheet and P&L.

  • Lead the operating plan, revised forecasts, and strategic planning cycles for the manufacturing sites. Including manufacturing costs, NQC/waste, Value Leadership/productivity, and inventory.

  • Collaborates with the regional Finance and Digital teams to identify, develop, and deploy game changing tools that provide actionable insights across the network and drive network optimization strategy.

  • Creates an engaging, high performance learning environment for peers, established through coaching and guidance for associate development, and delivery of business objectives through the performance management process.

  • Supports the planning, period close, inventory management, supply systems, and forecasting processes as follows:

  • Coordinates input, administration, and execution of site operating objectives in compliance with established timelines.

  • Leverages site and technology financial analytics to build reporting in support of understanding period results, inventory movement, and planning/forecasting process to drive financial insights

  • Develops and maintains routings/standards for all items manufactured at the site.

  • Ensure accuracy of inventory (raw, pack, and FG) across the supply systems in accordance with the finance manual and cycle count policy

  • Provides volume/mix analysis to support cost structure, decision making, and commitment delivery and reflects properly in the site forecast

  • Completes ad-hoc analyses as required.


Other Responsibilities

  • Partners with the site teams, both management and floor associates, to identify cost improvement/efficiency opportunities and value added innovation. Tracks savings on implemented projects and reports progress against annual efficiency targets.

  • Verifies proper financial controls are in place and operating effectively as follows (amongst others):

  • Partners with site manager to foster an effective control environment.

  • Observes inventory cycle counts and reviews proposed inventory adjustments.

  • Coordinates efforts with external financial auditors when site is selected for inventory observation.

  • Contributes to the culture of accountability and responsibility at manufacturing sites by tracking action plans for key initiatives, addressing root cause issues to drive sustainable operating improvements. Identify trade-offs and escalate operating plan variances as appropriate.
