What are we looking for?

  • The European Senior programmatic manager will be a key part of the transformational journey to data driven brand building with the aim to transform the way we connect with the pet parents and build relationships with them at the heart of everything we do.

  • Every month we reach millions of pet parents in Europe with our biddable media advertising. The European senior programmatic manager for Pet Nutrition is a crucial partner in realising our ambition to put the needs of pet parents at the heart of our connected communications strategy and to build meaningful personalisation at scale.

  • This centralized role will be responsible for building superior biddable media capabilities for multiple brands, leading biddable media strategy and execution across a variety of programmatic media partners (including Google, The Trade Desk, Amazon Advertising, etc.) and social media partners (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), all with a focus on driving to conversion.

  • The role will be responsible for defining and rolling out scalable solutions, best practices and frequent learnings to advance Mars Petcare biddable social & programmatic media efforts across key brand initiatives, including the identification and implementation of new high value audiences, dynamic creative optimization, and more.

This role will have seven key areas of responsibility:

  • Strategy: further the programmatic & performance strategy for PN Europe by leveraging our first party data effectively across devices using video as the primary format for engagement and driving media activation innovation by expanding beyond video
  • Framework: responsible for translating the global biddable media framework and making it relevant for Europe
  • Partnerships: work closely with our agency and technology partners to ensure we are progressing our strategic initiatives at speed
  • Measurement: ensure robust measurement and tracking of our KPI's so we continually benchmark our progress in becoming the best biddable media advertiser in the world
  • Innovation: meet European industry stakeholders to identify opportunities to create pilots & experiments with their solutions, represent Mars at Industry events, panels, and advertising societies
  • Build our internal muscle: responsible for Mars PN Europe’s capability in biddable media
  • The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be comfortable with ambiguity and ready to push the envelope with a collaborative approach and good business acumen.

    They must be passionate & knowledgeable about biddable media (with focus on programmatic and paid Social), as they will serve as an ambassador for the transformation required in biddable media & performance buying throughout the European organization as well as representing Europe in the global programmatic/ performance steering committee. They will be highly collaborative and need to partner across the Mars demand team including peers in the connections planning, regional and local marketing & CMI teams, DT and D&A as well as agencies and industry partners.

  • LM for 2 associates
  • Increase signficiantly data acquisition, audience management, and advanced targeting recruiting pet owners into the funnel
  • upskilling capabilities and shared understanding of biddable media
