Employee reviews

tms's employees have anonymously had their say in what they think of the company

tms is a great company to work for, very inclusive and with a very close knit team!

I love how supportive the team are, always willing to help and contribute. Also my ideas feel values and welcomed.

tms is a good company to work for. There is lots of flexibility, and culturally there are opportunities to broaden your horizons, many topics are discussed, and we are offered training opportunities.

As a business we are committed to making this a place that does extraordinary work but is also an extraordinary place to work. Belonging is at the heart of this, belonging and giving everyone a fair chance to thrive. It is a journey. `We are better in some areas than others. We make mistakes. But we acknowledge those, learn from them, and try harder. Belonging is the ultimate 'infinite goal'. and we won't stop until we get there.

About us

tms unites technology and marketing and sourcing to drive transformational change for the world’s leading brands. With 1200+ employees across 26 countries, we offer an impressive range of solutions — from inspiration and innovation to category management and delivery. Headquartered in Chicago with 10 offices worldwide, we are responsible for some of the world’s most successful and iconic long-term marketing platforms, including McDonald’s Happy Meal and MONOPOLY programs. Operating as a creative agency, a strategic consultancy and a technology provider, we engage with over 110 million customers every single day for clients including McDonald’s, adidas, T-Mobile, Starbucks, Vue and O2.

Flexible working at tms

As part of our 2023 re-positioning and re-organisation, we re-configured our work environment and infrastructure to embrace hybrid and enable collaboration based on surveys and workshops that enabled employees to share thoughts on how the office should work.

With hybrid working in place, we reduced the number of desks and increased collaboration spaces, including a café area and a wider range of meeting spaces. And as part of the refit, we encouraged staff to donate art they have created for display in our meeting suite space, to share the talent from all areas of the business.

Our new Hybrid Work Plan enables tms staff to work from the office or from home, based on their requirement, the work and their team. Our Your Hours system enables employees to flexibly manage their workday.

Monday-Friday between 10 am-4 pm are what we call core hours — hours people need to be available/online. In other contracted hours that fall outside of that, they can choose to start earlier or finish later. The only caveat is that everybody is online at 9:30 am on a Monday morning to kick the week off together.

Our Summer Fridays mean people can do a 1:30 pm finish on a Friday to embrace the warmer weather. And they don’t need to make up the time to do that.

We encourage employees to keep Fridays meeting-free, so they can use the time to focus on work or personal development.

Should the above not suit someone’s personal circumstances, employees can request a Formal Flexible Working Arrangement, where we formally adjust their terms and conditions to what suits their needs.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

We have a culture that embraces diversity and fosters inclusion throughout our business and our strategies. Our Employee Resource Groups educate and activate, regularly hosting in-office and virtual events for key moments like Pride Month, Windrush, Juneteenth, and more! Alongside our parent company, HAVI, we're aiming to achieve 35% female talent in global leadership roles by 2026 and 30% racially and ethnically underrepresented talent in US leadership roles by 2026.

What do we think of tms?

tms have embraced a hybrid working approach and offer their team some incredible benefits. They encourage diversity and are aiming to offer something unique by fostering a team of talent from all walks of life. We have loved getting to know tms in the onboarding process.
