General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d)

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, supporting month-end closings, and contributing to meaningful financial insights that drive business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for various companies in accordance with HGB and US GAAP

  • Determination and documentation of provisions and accruals

  • Determination and documentation of inventory accounts, receivables, and liabilities

  • Posting and maintenance of loans and lease agreements

  • Contact person for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and asset accounting

  • Posting and reconciliation of wage and salary accounts

  • Reconciliation, analysis and evaluation of balance sheet accounts as part of account reconciliation

  • Intercompany Reconciliation

  • Preparation and reporting of the period results to the parent company

  • Analysis and documentation of closing entries in accordance with internal control guidelines

  • Integration of new companies into existing closing processes

  • Participation in cross-functional optimisation projects

  • Preparation of sales tax returns and summary reports


Experience and Skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, ideally complemented by CPA certification or equivalent accounting training

  • Several years of professional accounting experience with an international scope

  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and tax law in line with HGB and US GAAP

  • Hands-on experience with ERP and reporting systems

  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills

  • A structured, detail-oriented, and independent approach to work

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment
