Job Description

Job Description:

  • Create an accurate 39 periods rolling demand forecast that delivers both top line and bottom line business targets, using system’s accurately generated statistical base forecast, historical data, customers’ grids and activation plans, promotional grids and plans, channel plans, and supply chain data.

  • Forecast management on John Galt system ensuring reflection of all planned drivers, unplanned driver maintenance through actualization process, ensuring best base cleansing to properly generate an accurate base forecast.

  • Maintaining forecast on forecast communication tool, for rolling forecast and targets split across regions, clusters, channels, subchannels, and categories, ensuring proper visibility to stakeholders and different analytical views.

  • Ontime submissions to targets, and updated rolling forecast to relevant stakeholders.

  • Forecast KPIs management (accuracy and bias) through periodical performance analysis, KPIs measurement and reporting, leading periodical gap analysis meeting to proactively gain insights, identify issues and unplanned drivers, drive corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve future performance and drive efficiency in the supply chain.

  • Leading periodical growth feeder ensuring cross functional alignment on all drivers, customer calendar, channel development calendar, innovations’ calendar while agreeing on assumptions for new innovations and working out bottom ups, display drivers, reach drivers, and agreeing on foreseen risks and opportunities with respect to drivers and performance.

  • Supporting NQC feeder forum with supply, sales, and channel development, ensuring no NQC hits, by root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions.

  • Periodical forecast update in collaboration with channel development, sales, and driver owners reflecting agreed actions throughout cycle’s feeder forums.

  • Periodical bridge reporting with cycle changes.

  • Periodical sign off with both Commercial, and Supply teams on updated cycle demand forecast ensuring its on time fulfilment, along with capturing supply constrained demand.

  • Weekly monitoring to periodical sales progress vs targets and tackling foreseen risks and opportunities.

  • Support Demand Planning Leader to Achieve forecast consensus throughout the DMR cycle.

  • Responsible for achieving 85% SKU level Forecast Accuracy & 5% bias with Root cause analysis and Action Plan for continuous Improvement.

Context and Scope

This role will collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders and assigned Customer(s) to deliver an accurate demand forecast and convert the agreed demand plan into production requirements making sure the product is delivered on time, in full to meet Customer orders.

This role requires significant commercial, planning and the influencing skills.

Job Specifications

Education & Professional Qualification

  • undefined

  • A planning professional with an Engineering or economics degree or Masters in a relevant field such as supply chain management, planning or business management

  • Certification in APICS, IBF or other supply chain specific programs also preferred

Knowledge/Experience

  • 3-5 year of planning experience, preferably within CPGs.

  • Fluent English Language Skills (verbal and written)

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience in working on systems and preferably planning systems

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to work well under pressure.

  • Team player

  • Customer Management and analytical experience within CPG environment with a demonstrated ability to act with the customer and company in mind.

  • Good numeracy and analytical skills and experience of applying a wide range of analytics that drive insights and actions for complex customers and a variety of business situations.

  • Experience in problem solving, with the ability to use processes/ tools/ systems to unlock knowledge and generate insights and develop solutions for a wide range of customers

  • A good understanding and application of the sales cycle, trends and broader business implications to making judgments and recommendations for action.

  • Experience of building relationships in a cross functional environment.

Experience in areas such as (but not exclusive to): analyst roles, supply, planning sales operations and Customer management.
