Job Purpose:

  • The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for delivering an accurate Demand Plan based on historical sales data, EPOS & insight. Ensuring great customer service across SPT, Vet, PRO and Ireland Pillars by guaranteeing product availability through excellent short and mid-term planning; working closely with Customers, sales teams, Finance Co-pilots to ensure forecast accuracy. Building collaborative forecasting processes with both internal sales teams and directly with customers for key accounts.

    What will be your key responsibilities?

Demand Planning

  • Develop a reliable demand plan for all customers & product ranges over a rolling 24 month horizon.
  • Evaluate & anticipate exceptional events which can impact the supply chain (e.g. price increase)
  • Track forecast accuracy; measuring and reporting on SFA / BIAS, identifying root cause of deviations and implementing corrective or preventative action
  • Work with marketing & sales to integrate National promotions & New Products into Demand Plan.
  • Input to Supply Chain weekly CMOS meeting; ensuring short term changes to expected demand are recognised across the wider Supply Chain team.

Collaborative Customer forecasting;

  • Build effective relationships with Key Customer Supply Chain personnel.
  • Work with customer on executing Promotions & Events.
  • Lead Collaborative Forecast Reviews with Key Retail Customer.

S&OP+

  • Facilitate the DMR step of S&OP+
  • Identify required changes in the demand plan, capture significant business events, changes in product / marketing plans etc
  • Through S&OP+, challenge thinking and assumptions to improve accuracy in forecasting, maintaining promotional input in DMR and aligning future trend / forecast to expectations

Systems & Data

  • Maintain & ensure excellent data quality in all systems
  • Lead projects to enhance process efficiencies through improved functionality
  • Deputise for the S&OP+ and Planning Manager as required.

​What are we looking for?

  • Proven Demand Planning experience, within FMCG environment
  • Proven knowledge of S&OP/IBP process, both facilitating and optimising
  • Proactive/creative approach to change and development
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential
  • An aptitude for working with data systems & analytics tools
  • Knowledge of Futurmaster &/or Navision is a plus
