
Communication Intern
Job Description
As a Communications Intern, you will work closely with the Area Communications Manager to support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives across the Mekong Area. You will help bring communication plans to life by coordinating projects, creating engaging content, supporting leadership communications, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen Maersk's culture and employer brand.
This internship offers hands-on experience in a global organization where communications play a key role in connecting people, supporting business priorities, and driving employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
Support the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns across the Mekong Area.
Draft and proofread communication materials, including announcements, newsletters, intranet articles, leadership messages, and employee stories.
Assist in developing engaging content for internal communication channels.
Leadership Communications
Support communications for Area Town Halls, Executive Committee meetings, leadership visits, and employee engagement initiatives.
Coordinate communication timelines, presentation materials, and event logistics.
Ensure communication materials are delivered accurately and on time.
Employer Branding & Employee Engagement
Capture stories, photos, and videos that showcase Maersk's people, culture, and values.
Support campaigns that strengthen employee engagement and employer branding.
Help identify storytelling opportunities across functions and markets.
Project Coordination
Coordinate communication calendars and project timelines.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, and designers to ensure smooth execution.
Track deliverables and maintain communication assets.
Content & Creative Support
Create simple visual assets using tools such as Canva or PowerPoint.
Assist with photography, video editing, and content creation for internal platforms.
Monitor communication performance and prepare basic reports and insights.
Who Are We Looking For
Undergraduate or recent graduate in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and employee engagement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools is an advantage.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced global environment.
