Job Description

Are you passionate about agile practices and ready to support a dynamic team in the fast-paced world of energy trading? Energy Markets is looking for a Business Enablement Partner to join our Business and IT Enablement team and drive agile excellence across development and support initiatives.

As a Business Enablement Partner, you’ll be the heartbeat of our agile operations—ensuring smooth delivery, coaching the team to continuously improve, and aligning development efforts with business goals. This role blends the strategic mindset of a business analyst with the facilitation and leadership of a scrum master.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Delivery & Coaching
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives, etc.) and ensure effective sprint flow.
  • Coach team members on agile principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Remove blockers and support focused, value-driven work within the team.
• Business Analysis & Strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize business and system requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis to uncover trends and insights that inform product and process improvements.
  • Translate user feedback and business needs into actionable system requirements and development goals.
  • Support the planning and execution of proof of concepts (POCs), including testing and validation.
• Tooling & Process Optimization
  • Configure and optimize agile tools and workflows (primarily Atlassian suite: Jira, JSM, Confluence).
  • Own and maintain ITSM process documentation (incident, request, problem management).
  • Ensure automation and data-driven reporting through ITSM tools.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of system requirements, process flows, and product capabilities.
  • Report on project progress, KPIs, and user insights to enable informed decision-making.

Skills & Knowledge

• Solid understanding of energy/commodity trading solutions and how technology supports trading operations.
• Expertise in agile delivery practices and IT service management (incident, problem, and request management).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide priorities and shape team efforts.
• Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience

• Proven track record in setting up and managing agile development practices—especially in trading environments.
• 3+ years of experience with ETRM development and leading small development teams.
• Hands-on experience configuring and integrating agile toolsets, preferably Atlassian suite.
• Comfortable managing concurrent development and support activities.
• Experience in documenting business processes, system requirements, and facilitating user research.
