Job Description

At Improbable, we’ve been venturing into unexplored territory for over a decade, seeking new ways to connect people and amplify their lives. We’re shaping virtual worlds of unprecedented scale for the gaming, web3, and related sectors, creating world-changing technology from Morpheus to M2. With us, you’ll tackle questions that no one else is asking and find answers that define the future.
We’re leading the way in defining what the metaverse can be. This is where you get to explore interconnected, immersive, exciting worlds that have never been seen before and where you decide what the future looks like. Are you ready?
While all of these metaverses build upon the same platform technology, they are each their own web apps, built using the same technology foundations. These web apps are the way users access virtual worlds events and experiences via cloud streaming technology, manage their profile, buy virtual goods and services, interact with their friends, and even create their own objects and spaces. As a Senior UX Designer working in Improbable Metaverse Group, you are responsible for supporting the creation of these metaverse web applications, as a combination of a creative and technical role.

Your Opportunity:

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and design research methods to understand user needs
  • Collaborate closely with the other UX designers and developers on both feasibility and implementation
  • Deliver user flows, wireframes, prototypes, UX guidelines and documentation
  • Thrive in ever-changing environment and projects
  • Work through design problems from beginning to end, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts that form disruptive new products and features, and designing the detailed workflows and interactions required to make them a reality
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, specs, and/or lightweight prototypes

Why You're Made For This:

  • You have a strong portfolio which clearly demonstrates the problems you’ve taken on with your design work. It should touch on the process you applied to find solutions and overcome challenges, rather than focusing just on visual polish, or the final deliverables
  • You’ve worked in the gaming industry and/or with Web3 which has allowed you to understand common UX design patterns and concepts in the space
  • You’ve conducted user research and usability testing
  • You have excellent knowledge of design principles and user-centric design methodologies
  • You can craft inclusive and diverse user interfaces
  • Fluency in Figma
  • You may have strong visual design skills
