Finance Senior Analyst – Off Trade

Function: Finance
Location: Edinburgh (St Andrew Square) or London (Oxford Street), with a mix of office and home working
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 base, depending on experience, plus benefits
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 17th November 2026

Please note, we may close vacancies early where we receive significant numbers of applications.

With 2,100 colleagues, a nationwide pub network and a portfolio of brilliant brands proudly made in the UK, we combine pioneering spirit with real scale. We’re also a certified Great Place to Work®, a recognition of the culture and colleague experience we build every day.

We're looking for a Finance Senior Analyst to join our Off Trade Finance team. It's a great opportunity to work closely with our commercial teams, get involved in some important customer and business decisions, and help make sure we're getting the best return from our investment.

About the role
Reporting to the Off Trade Finance Manager, you'll work alongside colleagues in Front Line Sales and Revenue Management, helping them understand how the business is performing, where we're creating value and where there are opportunities to do things differently.

There's a good mix of financial control, business partnering and commercial exposure in this role. You'll take ownership of our Off Trade rebate balance sheet, help keep a close eye on our revenue performance and make sure the numbers behind our commercial plans are accurate and robust.

You'll also get plenty of opportunity to work with people across Finance and Commerce, building relationships, asking questions and bringing your financial perspective to the table. It's about getting into the detail when you need to, but also understanding what the numbers mean for the wider business.

If you're someone who enjoys working with people as much as working with numbers, and you're keen to build your commercial experience in the Off Trade, this could be a great next step.

You'll be based at our Edinburgh head office in St Andrew Square. This role follows a hybrid working model, with three days in the office (Tuesdays, Thursdays and one flexible day) and the freedom to come in more often if you wish.

So what will you be doing? Here’s some of the key accountabilities.

  • Providing clear, accurate reporting and insight so our commercial teams understand how we're performing and what the numbers are telling us.
  • Taking ownership of the Off Trade rebate balance sheet, keeping a close eye on balances and making sure the right controls and reviews are in place.
  • Making sure volumes, pricing and rebates are accurately loaded into our systems and kept up to date.
  • Supporting customer JVCA conversations, helping us make informed decisions on investment and get the best value from our customer partnerships.
  • Working with colleagues across Front Line Sales, Revenue Management, Commerce and Finance, bringing insight and constructive challenge to commercial decisions.
  • Getting involved in optimisation projects, working with different teams to find better ways of working and improve how we do things.

Who we’re looking for
You're a Qualified Accountant with a good commercial head on your shoulders. You enjoy getting under the skin of the numbers, but you also understand the importance of building relationships and working with people across the business.

You're comfortable asking questions, challenging things when they don't look right and explaining financial information in a way that helps others make better decisions. You'll bring a proactive approach, a positive attitude and the confidence to get stuck into a fast-moving commercial environment.

You don't need to know the Off Trade inside out already, but an interest in how it works and an appetite to learn will certainly help.

Skills and experience

  • Qualified Accountant, with experience in a commercial finance or business partnering environment.
  • Good financial and analytical skills, with the ability to make sense of the numbers and explain what they mean.
  • Comfortable building relationships and influencing colleagues across different teams.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership and get things moving.
  • Able to work through changing priorities in a fast-moving commercial environment.
  • An interest in the Off Trade and a desire to build your understanding of our customers and commercial plans.

Behaviours
We value behaviours as much as technical expertise. You'll:

  • Take ownership and see things through.
  • Think commercially and look for opportunities to create value.
  • Build good working relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Have the confidence to ask questions and challenge constructively.
  • Stay flexible and positive when priorities change.
  • Be curious, open to learning and keen to keep developing.

Why join us?

From pioneering low and no alcohol to backing the great British pub, we're building something that matters. Every career here starts with the same three words: Pioneer. Grow. Together. From day one, you'll be valued, included and supported, with the opportunity to go further than you thought possible. Because when you win, we all win.

Your benefits
In addition to your base salary, you'll receive:

  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • Company-funded private medical healthcare.
  • Double-matched pension contributions, up to 10% of salary.
  • 35 days' holiday, with the opportunity to buy or sell days.
  • An allowance towards purchasing our beers and ciders.
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career progression.
  • Wide-ranging support for family life, neurodiversity, menopause and mental health.
  • Access to colleague networks that champion diversity, equity and inclusion.
