Job Description

Base office: London (We're hybrid: Min 3 days p/w in the office, 2 remote/office if you prefer).

The Sheffield Connection: Regular trips to the Sheffield Office (approx. 4 days a month) are essential.

Why the Travel? This is key for providing that vital senior leadership presence and getting in person time with the Sheffield-based Sales team.

We Cover It: Travel and accommodation are fully covered

We’re looking for a visible, hands-on Head of Sales who can lead and coach Sales teams in our fast-moving and complex environment, owning revenue and pipeline, building scalable sales operations, and be physically present with the teams that drive growth. If that's you, please read on!

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll own the full sales cycle - from lead generation and qualification through to pipeline management and deal closure.

You’ll lead, develop and coach a distributed Sales team (across two office locations - hence the Sheffield connection), while continuously improving our sales operations and technology stack to drive accountability and maximise revenue performance.

This is a challenging role, but one where you’ll see the direct impact of your leadership and execution as you help shape the next phase of Goodlord’s growth.

Core Responsibilities

No two days are the same at Goodlord but the key aspects of the role include:

  • Create and execute our future sales strategy: Develop and deliver a comprehensive, data-driven sales strategy that delivers ambitious, long-term, sustainable growth.

  • Elevate and scale our Sales team: Lead, coach and optimise an established team of around 8 sales professionals across London and Sheffield, unlocking performance in the current team while shaping how the function scales as the business grows.

  • Drive Customer relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, leading key negotiations and key deals with a strong focus on long-term relationship management.

  • Optimise sales operations - Own forecasting, reporting, tooling and automation to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Marketing, Product and Account Management teams to deliver a joined-up customer journey

  • Build product and commercial knowledge: Ensure our teams, and our customers clearly and deeply understand the value of our products.

A full role overview will be shared throughout the interview process

ABOUT YOU

You should apply if you:

  • Bring exceptional people leadership skills with the ability to bring your team on the journey with you.

    • You should have examples of where you have supported those who may not be performing as expected to help them succeed and where you have identified high performing talent to help them realise their potential/ambitions

  • Have a track record of delivering revenue results and driving sustainable business growth.

  • Bring significant leadership experience with proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders of all seniority

  • Possess a data-driven mindset with experience in optimising sales analytics tools and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven business environment

ABOUT US

We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, landlord, and tenant. As more and more tenants with higher digital expectations entered the market, we were confident that we could provide a solution that works for everybody.

And we did. Like all scale-ups, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster journey. Still, we’re now stronger than ever, with around 3,000 letting agents using the platform, exciting & varied product lines and over 300 Goodlordians across the group supporting the mission!

At Goodlord, our purpose is simple: to create the best rental experience in the world. And we know that achieving that starts with our people. That’s why we’ve worked hard to build a culture where everyone can thrive, and it’s something we’ve been consistently recognised for.

Over the years, Goodlord has been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ across multiple categories, from wellbeing and development to being a great place for women in tech. In 2025, we ranked among the Top 50 Best Workplaces in the UK, large category.

Not only that but the following too:-

  • Great Place to Work certified - 2022, 2024, 2025

  • Top 50 UK's Best Workplaces™ - Wellbeing, Development and Women 2025

  • Recognised as a UK's Best Workplaces™ in Tech 2025

  • Deloitte Technology Fast 50 - 2023

  • Top 20 UK's Best Workplaces™ - Wellbeing, Women and Tech in 2022 - medium category

These achievements matter to us not just as awards, but because they reflect something more important: a durable, people-first culture that we’ve built together. One that

continues to grow year after year.

Our values guide our decisions, the way we work, our culture and the people we ask to join the team. We work hard, have fun and support each other. We’re not afraid to make mistakes (we’d never learn if we didn’t) and we’re always looking to challenge ourselves.
Our collaborations are based on honesty, friendship, and respect.

It’s an exciting time here at Goodlord. If you’re inspired by what we’re doing, are up for a challenge and share our values, we’d love to hear from you.

Hopefully this has piqued your interest enough to make you want to apply!

APPLICATION PROCESS

As part of our application process, we ask for a short cover note alongside your CV.

For senior sales roles in particular, a CV alone doesn’t always show how someone thinks or drives results, so this gives you the opportunity to share a real example in your own words.

For transparency, this is the question we’ll ask you to respond to:

  • Describe a sales strategy you designed and executed in a B2B SaaS environment that delivered meaningful, sustainable revenue growth.

    • What changed as a result of your approach, and what (if anything) would you do differently next time?

Goodlord wants applicants from all backgrounds and walks of life. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment where people can do their best work. If there is anything you need to participate fully in the interview process, we’d love to hear about that - please just include it in your application. Come and join us!

** Please note, as we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, all Goodlordians are required to pass a thorough referencing check via Experian before joining the team. We will only ask for references at the point of making an offer.

Regrettably we are not able to provide sponsorship for this role.

No agencies please - we have tried and trusted partners we would turn to should we require support.
