Workflow Data and Insight Delivery Analyst
We’re looking for a brilliant Workflow Data and Insight Delivery Analyst
to join our team of colleagues in British Gas Energy, that together are setting the standard in energy supply.

Are you highly numerate with experience in analytics? We are looking for someone like you to join our team! Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex data to solve problems logically using a range of analytical techniques. In this role, you will be expected to develop analysis effectively and create solutions, with a willingness to work ‘above and beyond’ to understand wider business touchpoints.
As for technical skills, a working knowledge of one or more of the following tools is essential: Databricks, Python, R, SQL, SAS, Power BI or equivalent. Additionally, strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt content and detail as appropriate for a wide range of audiences, are a must-have. Building excellent relationships with stakeholders and peers is also a key component of this role.
A strong desire to focus on personal development, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly is essential to the role.
The ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively is crucial to success in this role. You should have a focus on results and desired outcomes and understand how best to achieve them. Additionally, the ability to stand back from the detail to expose new possibilities in a positive way by challenging assumptions and encouraging positive debate is key.
As a Workflow Data and Insight Delivery Analyst, you will be required to develop sustainable, efficient programs to support key business initiatives and create robust MI providing actionable insight that can be used to drive decision making. Your role will involve automating regular reporting to minimise failures and support important projects and processes. Ad hoc and regular reporting are key to achieving this goal. Additionally, you will be responsible for presenting outputs and complex data to a variety of stakeholders and explaining findings.
Accountabilities
- Development of new workflows to support business tactical initiatives.
- Manage any workflow process we have put into the place to ensure processes are compliant.
- Support with migration of existing workflows to new platforms as part of NEP Migration.
- Assist with extraction and manipulation of data to answer RFIs from regulators.
- Creation of MI providing insight on key business deliverables.
- Ensure that all key jobs are documented and have contingency.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business to ensure delivery.
- Create a safe environment with the aim of achieving a zero-incident workspace and ensuring that teams take responsibility for themselves and each other.
- Act as a subject matter expert for relevant areas of technical expertise.
- Provide an effective personal contribution to the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and information relating to credit risk management across the business.
- Build, maintain, and leverage a relevant stakeholder network across all levels of the business and externally.
- Represent the department and company in an appropriate manner when dealing with other parts of the company, regulatory bodies and third parties.
- Present to management in relevant forums.
- Offer feedback and ideas for continuous improvement, motivating colleagues to do the same.
