An opportunity to play your part – As the successful applicant, your role as SaaS Platform Specialist is situated within Centrica's Platform Engineering department. The role requires advanced expertise in overseeing the Office 365 SaaS platform.

Responsibilities will include collaborating with business stakeholders and vendors to deploy, customise, and sustain the technology to align with Centrica's requirements.

Additionally, the role involves refining and perpetually improving Office 365 solutions to enhance our business operations.

The day to day

• Manage relationships with vendors and outsource partners responsible for O365 services, ensuring efficient delivery into Centrica.
• Stay updated on the latest SaaS platform technologies and advancements through continuous learning.
• Assess vendor roadmaps and key features of SaaS platforms to determine optimal alignment with our organization's needs.
• Establish appropriate governance and frameworks for introducing SaaS features into the organization, prioritizing compliance, security, data privacy, and cost considerations.
• Maintain a balance between O365 feature development and operational requirements to ensure high service availability, adhering to the ITIL framework for incident, problem, and change management.
• Utilise agile toolsets and methodologies to effectively deliver new features and services.
• Translate business processes into technical outcomes, leveraging the SaaS platform for implementation.
• Foster a culture of engagement and service excellence within the organization.
• Identify customer objectives and strive for simple and elegant solutions, integrating automation and continuous improvement strategies wherever feasible.

About you

• Overseeing or administering Office 365 or similar SaaS technology in a medium to large blue-chip corporation.
• Demonstrated experience in operational roles at a significant scale.
• Proficiency in cloud computing technologies.
• Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in managing performance with both third-party vendors and internal delivery teams, adhering to service frameworks and managing SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs.
• Extensive expertise in supplier and vendor management.
