The Net Zero & New Business (NZ&NB) People team are small but mighty – we partner with the business, understanding the products and services, the strategy and the plan, and use this knowledge to deliver brilliant people interventions that will help us to deliver the NZ&NB plan and to energise a greener, fairer future.

We are looking for an energetic self starter to join us on the Net Zero journey, to become a Net Zero expert, and lead on some key pieces of work that will make a real difference to the business. Can do attitude, positivity and ability to work at pace are a must!

The People Consultant works to support the design and delivery of the best People solutions required for the business. The People Consultant will liaise with Centres of Excellence to leverage key expertise and ensure consistent delivery. The People Consultant will have business commerciality, flexibility and understand People best practise to support delivery. They provide professional end to end People expertise, coaching & support to business leaders.

Accountabilities

  • Trusted experts enabling the business to deliver for our customers

  • With support from People Partners, understand business requirements and translate into practical project deliverables

  • Provide practical People expertise, guidance and coaching to leaders

  • As part of a broader team, effectively support the delivery of People projects including organisational change & transformation, TUPE, restructuring, reward programmes, employee engagement, building capability, engagement, etc

  • Building & leveraging relationships with People Partners, People Directors, business leaders and Centres of Excellence

  • Work across the People team to access specialist advice / input i.e. communications / capability / resourcing etc…

  • Effective stakeholder network in the business and People

  • Provide external best practice to the business on all People matters

Work Experience

  • A proven track record of supporting to deliver part of a people plan or strategy

  • Experience of delivering People content including change projects with People generalist experience

  • A demonstrable track record of delivering clear, actionable goals and delivering excellent results and outcomes

  • Experience of working in a People function in a complex, matrix organisation

  • A successful track record of operating commercially and executing plans effectively

  • Experience of working with others to deliver exceptional results – strong collaborator

  • Typically educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Evidence of CPD in the field of human resources would be advantageous
