Job Description

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Join the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) as our new People Advisor and help us put pharmacy at the heart of healthcare!

We're seeking a talented HR professional who's passionate about making a difference. In this role, you'll:

  • Provide expert HR advice and support across our organisation
  • Support on employee relations, ensuring fair and pragmatic solutions
  • Drive our recruitment processes, from advertising to onboarding
  • Manage our payroll with accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives to help our people grow
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and policy development

This role offers a blend of administrative responsibilities and growth opportunities. We're seeking someone eager to dive into day-to-day tasks while developing their skills and contributing to strategic HR initiatives!

Requirements:

  • Proven HR experience, including in-house payroll administration
  • CIPD qualification (minimum of level 3 and working towards level 5 is desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations
  • Experience with HR systems and data management (CezanneHR experience is desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Directorate

The People Team sits within the Operations Directorate, alongside our Finance and Facilities Teams, and supports the organisation in delivering on its long-term objectives. Although we are part of the Operations directorate we work closely across all directorates to help support and work with all employees.

The Team

You'll become a valued member of our small, close-knit team made up of a Head of People, Business Partner and People Assistant, working collaboratively to drive both the People Team and broader business strategies. We work closely with managers, providing coaching and general support to equip them with the necessary tools for effective employee management. This helps ensure that our employees enjoy a positive and fulfilling work experience.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office. However, this may be more depending on the team or business need.
