Why this job matters

As our HR Business Partner within our Service organisation you’ll specifically support 2 Senior Leaders within Managed Service. 1 for our UK Defence Service team and 1 for our Global Service Operations team, a total of circa 2000 colleagues in hubs across UK, Hungary, India and other global locations.

Your core focus will be to own and be responsible for business partner relationships supporting the creation of effective solutions to drive the people agenda, delivering transformational people performance and organisational capability aligned to the achievement of our business strategy and unit goals.

You’ll work in collaboration with our specialist HR teams within Business, HR Services and the Group COE to deliver, and in some instances help to cocreate HR strategy, policy and process.

There will be a requirement to hold (or be willing to apply) for Security Clearance to be able to fully support the Defence team.

What you’ll be doing

  • The HR Business Partner drives partnerships with functional managers translating business and functional specific objectives to people strategies, directing the planning and delivery of HR programmes and services to the business. Manages the delivery of proactive, strategic guidance and support and coaching for organisational planning and development initiatives that align the people agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives
  • Implements a local people plan to enhance the success of the business unit and provide people leadership to senior leaders and their teams
  • Maintains the strategic business partner relationship, making data-driven decisions to provide strategic insight, challenge and thought leadership to help leaders drive their people strategy.
  • Works closely with country HR teams to drive people and business outcomes in country and align with country people plan and strategy
  • Manages functional performance management, consistently measuring the effectiveness of people initiatives and programmes to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes
  • Leads business partnering for managers with employee attraction, development, and retention issues which may include annual reviews, leadership coaching, career pathing, current and future skills, advanced people reporting & metrics and special project assistance
  • Contributes to the people elements of organisational design projects to streamline and implement new structures, roles, and/or processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Supports and coordinates consultation as well as collaboration across the full spectrum of people issues, providing feedback to and linkages with all functional components of HR
  • Coaches managers on people policies and processes, including organisational design, change management, talent management, and leadership capability to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development
