📍 Location: Dublin | Hybrid working, 1 day per week in the office.

About the Role

In this role you’ll help manage credit management across commercial, residential and homecare areas. You’ll mainly focus on ensuring effective day to day running of processes, quality and effective management of 3rd party vendors. You’ll also be responsible for improving processes and increasing efficiency where possible.

💼What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage end‑to‑end payment processes across commercial, residential and services customer segments.
  • Develop and maintain efficient, compliant payment processes for external vendors and internal teams.
  • Oversee direct debit file processing, payment allocation, suspense account management and resolution of missing payments in partnership with the contact centre admin team.
  • Manage performance and operational effectiveness of all payment‑related third‑party vendors (AIB, Paragon, Worldpay, Realex, Capita, Fexco, etc.), ensuring strong governance and KPI delivery.
  • Act as subject matter expert on payments for projects, product launches, audits and regulatory changes impacting payment workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and automation across all payment processes and systems.
  • Produce clear, accurate and actionable reporting on payments KPIs, trends, risk areas and operational performance.
  • Define, implement and monitor KPIs for internal teams and third‑party partners to ensure strong process performance.
  • Design and implement new payment initiatives and campaigns to increase direct debit uptake and retention, promote low‑cost payment channels, reduce Opex and support bad debt reduction.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships to ensure alignment on payment operations, system changes and performance.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer experience, complaint prevention and the fair treatment of customers.
  • Ensure compliance with SEPA requirements, internal controls, audit standards and regulatory obligations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of payments and collections processes, including end‑to‑end payment lifecycle management.
  • Deep knowledge of process efficiency, optimisation methodologies and continuous improvement best practices.
  • Solid technical expertise in SEPA Direct Debit operations, payment allocation, reconciliation and suspense account management.
  • Experience with automation, workflow optimisation and system enhancement within payment processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams, functions and third‑party vendors.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a strong focus on controls, compliance and operational accuracy.
