Job Description

Join us, be part of more.

We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

About your team:

At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it.

We’ve been powering the UK’s homes and businesses for over 200 years – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK greener and more energy efficient, getting closer to Net Zero. By using clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we’re making it cheaper and easier for our customers to reduce their carbon-footprint.

Your focus will be on driving commercial performance while improving the end‑to‑end customer journey, working closely with digital, commercial and marketing teams to increase conversion and customer satisfaction.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and delivering product goals including conversion, average order value, NPV and NPS

  • Using data, insight and user feedback to identify opportunities and prioritise improvements

  • Leading a test‑and‑learn approach using qualitative and quantitative methods (A/B testing, MVTs, user research)

  • Setting and communicating clear roadmaps and OKRs aligned to business and customer needs

  • Monitoring market trends, competitors and partnership opportunities

  • Working collaboratively with commercial, legal, regulatory and support teams to deliver compliant, scalable launches

  • Supporting and developing cross‑functional delivery teams and ways of working

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Experience as a Digital Product Manager within ecommerce or digital environments, working in agile teams

  • Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and conversion rate optimisation

  • Confident working cross‑functionally with product, design and technology teams

  • Experience using customer research, testing and experimentation to inform decisions

  • A data‑driven mindset with strong prioritisation and problem‑solving skills

  • Clear, confident stakeholder communication, able to simplify complex topics

  • Solid understanding of SEO and digital marketing channels (PPC, display, social, VOD)

Desirable

  • Experience with Salesforce, Adobe Analytics/Target and Content Square
