The Role

The Digital & IT team ensures CPC operates as a modern, secure and high-performing organisation. We are seeking a Junior Cyber & Infra Engineer to support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of CPC’s Cyber Security Framework (CSF), technology environment, including end-user devices, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure and core security.


This entry level role supports CPC’s Cyber Security Lead and IT Infrastructure Manager in maintaining and improving CPC’s cyber security framework and IT environment. You’ll gain hands on experience in security operations, detection, incident response, infrastructure support and the modern workplace (Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and endpoint management). You will work across cyber and infrastructure teams to strengthen CPC’s security posture, support day to day operations, and help colleagues use technology securely and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Threat Intelligence & Security Culture


· Support cyber awareness activities (campaigns, workshops, one to ones).


· Promote secure, user friendly practices across the organisation.


· Turn threat intelligence into simple, practical guidance.


· Work with teams to understand risks and help identify security improvements.


Supplier Tracking, Assessment & Reporting (STAR)


· Support third party risk assessments and documentation.


· Conduct supplier security reviews and track follow up actions.


Security Monitoring & Incident Response


· Assist with monitoring SOC tools, endpoints, patching, IAM, and general system health.


· Support vulnerability management, endpoint security tasks and alignment with policies.


Identity & Access Management


· Process access requests and onboarding/offboarding tasks.


· Help perform periodic access reviews and compliance checks.


Security Hygiene & Continuous Improvement


· Update documentation and technical workflows.


· Contribute to configuration improvements and maturing CPC’s CSF.


Infrastructure Support (Servers, Networks, Endpoints)


· Assist with basic administration of servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs and core systems.


· Support day to day operation of IT infrastructure under guidance from senior engineers.


Device Management & Modern Workplace


· Configure, deploy and maintain devices using Microsoft 365 tools, Intune, Azure AD and security solutions.


Asset & Documentation Management


· Maintain accurate asset and configuration records.


· Ensure documentation is consistent, up to date and reliable.


Cross-Team Collaboration


· Work across the Digital and IT team to support shared initiatives and maintain a stable, secure environment.
