About the role

The Digital Change Senior Transformation Manager manages key programmes within the Digital Change Programme alongside being an integral part of the Digital culture change journey. This includes driving and managing key aspects of our Digital Change journey alongside being an ambassador for the rollout of BT Cultural behaviours, alongside supporting the Digital systemic change programme. These initiatives are fundamental components of the overall Digital Change Programme which seeks to positions Digital as an enabler for BT and its customers and an inspiration and driver of innovation.

What you’ll be doing

The Senior Transformation Manager drives the transformation initiatives, overseeing conceptualisation through to delivery and implementation.

  • Partners with and influences stakeholders at all levels, particularly executive and senior leaders, to gain buy in and establish accountability, and input to plans to ensure success.
  • Engages colleagues and customers in all aspects of the ‘what’ and ‘how’ transformation programmes.
  • Leads an integrated and largely virtual team to deliver the end-to-end transformation continually identifying opportunities for early benefit realization without any customer or colleague disruption.
  • Owns deliverables driving real, progressive and ambitious transformation or step-change as opposed to incremental change. Leads the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities identified across the Digital Change journey
  • Overseeing all of the transformation workstreams (technical, people, customer and commercial) with a diverse set of internal and external customers, maintaining a clear transformation backlog and plan, drive execution, while continuously aligning with management on strategy and progress
  • Identifies and removes obstacles to delivery of the Digital change journey, acting as a point of escalation and using escalation paths where necessary.
  • Leads the analysis of complex data, including interpreting and recognising trends and patterns, comprehension of complex information, and identifying additional data sources or best practice to help devise solutions.
  • Leads the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage.
  • Transformation strategy: you will drive continuous transformation and improvement of the operating and delivery model across the Digital change journey

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Significant experience leading transformation, and with an understanding of both historical and emerging approaches, methods and insight in the professional discipline of transformation and change management and can bring these quickly to bear on the strategic transformation.
  • Track record of delivering change in complex environments through a focus on people and results.
  • Is an excellent collaborator: Builds great teams that are often ‘virtual’ in nature and often inclusive of people from other parts of BT Group.
  • A confident and engaging leader who role models through their own behaviour and actions, the relevance of leadership behaviours for customers, people and organisation, embedding the change by inspiring, coaching, holding themselves and others to account.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Coaching experience and systemic cultural change experience desirable but not essential.
