About the role

The Scrum Master Specialist executes a range of workstreams in delivering Scrum processes, ensuring that Scrum and related practices are understood and enacted across teams and are supported across the group.

What you’ll be doing

1. Runs the Scrum/Agile iterative development processes to lead on-time delivery of product backlog user stories.
2. Organises daily Scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings as a key part of the Agile team.
3. Leads the Scrum process across digital and project teams ensuring that goals, scope, and product domains are understood by everyone on the team.ÂÂ
4. Leads collaboration with Scrum masters to improve the application of Agile practices and cross-collaboration for delivery execution.
5. Safeguards project resources and direct corrective measures to ensure project success.
6. Identifies resource gaps and inform the programme and project manager to support and enable resource managers for outsourced services as needed.
7. Highlights impediments, risks or blockers on timely basis with the team. Tracks to closure using either Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or collaboration tools.
8. Drives communication between technology and BT Group through targeted communications and fostering open dialog with team members.
9. Contributes towards the continuous evaluation and updating of the backlog with new or modified user stories that are decomposed, estimated, prioritised, and assigned to future iterations.
10. Mentors other Scrum Master professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
11. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Scrum processes.
