The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.

The Scope

The Product Manager for Sovereign Cloud & AI will lead the creation of BT’s new sovereign services capability, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory, security, and data residency requirements. This role is pivotal in shaping BT’s trusted cloud and AI offerings for public sector, regulated industries, and enterprise customers.

You will define and execute the product strategy and roadmap, balancing compliance-driven investments with commercial viability to deliver profitable, differentiated solutions. The role involves building strategic partnerships, developing scalable propositions, and driving growth through government frameworks and industry ecosystems.

Success in this role means enabling BT to lead in secure, sovereign digital infrastructure while delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving revenue targets for FY26 and beyond.

What you’ll be doing

Define and deliver the product strategy and roadmap for BT’s sovereign cloud and AI services, ensuring compliance with UK data sovereignty requirements.

Develop propositions for public sector and regulated industries, working with partners and internal teams to build a strong ecosystem.

Translate market trends and customer needs into commercially viable product offerings and prioritised features.

Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver products using Agile methodologies.

Enhance the digital experience for sovereign services and ensure secure, seamless customer journeys.

Monitor product performance, build data tools and dashboards, and continuously improve based on insights and emerging trends.

Experience needed to be successful in the role

Product management experience in B2B cloud or AI products, ideally within public sector or regulated industries.

Proven ability to define and deliver product strategy and roadmap for Cloud and AI services.

Strong commercial acumen with experience turning technical capabilities into profitable offerings.

Excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including up to Director level.

Knowledge of UK data sovereignty, regulatory frameworks, and the Cloud/AI market.

Technical understanding of cloud architecture and AI services, with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
