Impact of the role:

The Product Management Professional supports projects across the product development lifecycle from initial design through to product delivery.

Link to strategy:

Designing the User Experience for the Global Fabric web app, that delivers BT International’s strategic ambition of building a platform business, underpinned by a next-generation global network, and world-class managed services.

What you will be doing (Role Accountabilities)

  • Creates detailed low and high-fidelity designs, prototypes, user flows, interfaces, interactions, and overall experiences via mock-ups and diagrams, in accordance with design best practices and brand guidelines
  • Delivers required supporting documentation such as personas, site-maps, story boards, user flows, etc. following the BT design best practice approach
  • Supports digital-first experiences that achieve commercial goals such as increased digital channel share and clearer commercial impact
  • Supports in brainstorming, conceptualising, and iterating as needed
  • Participates in cross-functional workshops such as co-creation, empathy mapping, and journey mapping exercises
  • Supports in the implementation of ways to improve the technical work within area of responsibility using partner feedback, user testing results, and other research to improve assets, products, and services
  • Supports in the transformation of ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into clear, usable, useful, and desirable outcomes for users
  • Gathers user research and analytics insights to ensure user needs are met
  • Supports design standards alongside an evolving design system and actively contributes to detailing specifications

About the role

The Product Professional supports product development processes and projects throughout BT Group, assisting the implementation and maximal impact of company product strategies, product management, user experience (UX), software engineering, and analysis across multiple product lines.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supports the implementation of product management vision and strategy.
2. Supports product launches and delivery of key capabilities on time and on budget.
3. Support the development of enhancements to existing products by understanding and analysing user needs.
4. Assists with partnerships with analytics and engineering teams, and interface with cross functional stakeholders e.g. executives, sales, product, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to fulfill the product backlog using Scrum/ Agile methodologies.
5. Executes the development formal product documentation such as feature sheets and user guides.
6. Creates mockups, wireframes or POCs (points of contacts).
7. Write specifications and supports the coordination of product schedules.
8. Conducts analysis of customer behavior, metrics development and cultivating novel techniques to help customers.
9. Gathers and incorporates product feedback into subsequent product releases.
10. Supports the writing of comprehensive product requirements to instrument new tracking events, build data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards and visualisations.
11. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of product management.
