About BT

BT Group is the UK’s leading communications group and the holding company behind some of the country’s most recognised brands – including BT, EE, Openreach and Plusnet. Our purpose is as simple as it is ambitious: we connect for good. Our customers include consumers, small, medium and large businesses, public sector organisations and other communications providers.

BT Group’s role is about setting direction, unlocking value and creating the conditions for our brands and businesses to thrive.

Having come through the most capital-intensive phase of our fibre investment, our focus now is on what comes next – simplifying how we operate, using technology and AI to work smarter, and organising ourselves to serve customers better and grow sustainably. Group teams shape strategy, policy, brand, capital allocation and transformation, helping the whole organisation perform at its best.

We have a singular culture that unites all our people: we are customer-first challengers, who are committed, clear and connected. These behaviours unite us as one team to deliver for our colleagues, our customers, our stakeholders and the country. Joining BT Group means working at the heart of a business that matters to the UK, with the opportunity to shape decisions, influence outcomes and help set the future course of one of the country’s most important companies.

About the role

The Senior Manager, Product role sits within BT International – Strategy & Product, combining end-to-end ownership of a flagship self-service platform (Global Fabric portal) with leadership of pricing, costing, and CPQ capabilities across BT’s global connectivity, digital, and managed service propositions.

The benchmark for what a NaaS platform should feel like is the best born-digital infrastructure experiences: instant provisioning, API-first architecture, clean self-service UX, and a buying journey closer to e-commerce than enterprise procurement. This role leads that evolution – moving from legacy, ticket-based workflows to modern, platform-led and aaS commercial models.

You will own both the product experience and the underlying commercial engine, ensuring that customers can seamlessly discover, configure, price, and consume services in a scalable, intuitive way. This includes accountability for the Global Fabric portal roadmap and the pricing frameworks that underpin BT’s propositions globally.

This role directly impacts:

  • Revenue growth and margin performance through better pricing decisions, commercial models, and feature adoption
  • Sales effectiveness via clear, fast, and scalable pricing and configuration capabilities
  • Customer experience by delivering intuitive, self-service solutions with transparent, consumption-driven pricing
  • You will play a central role in BT’s strategy to simplify, standardise, and scale how we build, price, and deliver products across international markets.

What you will be doing (Role Accountabilities)

• End-to-End Product Ownership: Define, own, and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the Global Fabric portal, aligning customer experience, platform capabilities, and commercial models.

• Customer Obsession: Develop a deep understanding of enterprise customer needs by engaging in onboarding, analysing usage data, and exploring support interactions to identify pain points and opportunities.

• Pricing & Commercial Strategy Leadership: Define pricing approaches that support subscription, usage-based, and solution-led models, ensuring competitiveness, scalability, and profitability.

• Financial Modelling & Costing: Own and evolve cost models and pricing structures across connectivity, UCaaS, SD-WAN, Contact Centre, and managed services, translating complexity into scalable frameworks.

• Cross-Functional Delivery: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Operations, and Finance to deliver high-quality releases and commercial capabilities on a predictable cadence.

• CPQ & Platform Enablement: Improve pricing and configuration tools, transitioning from manual/Excel-based models toward integrated, scalable CPQ solutions aligned with platform-led delivery.

• Metrics-Driven Decision Making: Define and track key product and commercial KPIs (e.g. self-service adoption, time-to-activate, pricing efficiency, deal cycle time, CSAT/NPS) to guide prioritisation and measure impact.

• Stakeholder Management: Navigate and align competing priorities across global stakeholders, clearly articulating trade-offs and building consensus.

• Sales & Deal Support: Partner with Sales on complex, multi-product deals, ensuring pricing structures balance growth, competitiveness, and margin.

• Governance & Standardisation: Establish and maintain pricing governance, frameworks, and approval processes to drive consistency and control at scale.

• Market & Competitive Insight: Continuously benchmark against leading NaaS, cloud, and infrastructure platforms, using market, customer, and competitor insights to shape both product and pricing strategies.

• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a global team, building strong capability across product management, pricing, and commercial modelling disciplines.

What you’ll need to succeed (Skills & Experience)

Essential:

• Significant experience in product management, pricing, or commercial strategy roles within telecoms, technology, or digital services environments

• Strong domain understanding of networking, connectivity, or cloud-based platforms (e.g. NaaS, SD-WAN, UCaaS)

• Proven track record of owning complex products or platforms, ideally including self-service portals or enterprise applications

• Experience developing pricing strategies for subscription, usage-based, or managed services models

• Advanced financial modelling capability with strong analytical rigour and data-driven decision-making

• Experience supporting complex, multi-product and multi-country deals

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Product, Sales, Finance, and Technology teams

• Ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear, actionable frameworks

• Experience working in agile delivery environments, defining requirements, and collaborating with engineering teams

• Excellent communication skills – able to articulate product vision, pricing strategy, and trade-offs clearly and effectively

• Strong commercial judgement, balancing customer value, competitiveness, and profitability

Desirable

• Experience in international telecoms, infrastructure, or cloud platform organisations

• Familiarity with CPQ platforms (e.g. Salesforce CPQ) and pricing system transformation

• Experience in platform-led or digital transformation programmes

• Background in B2B SaaS with self-service or product-led growth models

• Track record of improving self-service adoption, reducing time-to-provision, or scaling pricing capabilities

• Understanding of consumption-based and outcome-based commercial models

• Interest in emerging technologies such as AI-driven UX, intelligent automation, and predictive configuration in digital platforms

We believe in open conversations. If selected, salary details will be shared with you ahead of your interview, so you have clarity from the start.
