Posting Date: 22nd October 2026

Function: People & Culture

Location: London or Bristol

About the role

As a Transformation and Change Specialist for BT’s Networks, Digital and Corporate Units, you’ll deliver change across some of the most important areas of our business. Working across a diverse portfolio of people and business transformation, you’ll turn strategy into action, helping leaders deliver change successfully and sustainably. From organisation design and location strategy to workforce transformation and operating model change, you’ll ensure activities are coordinated, colleague impacts are understood, and intended outcomes are realised. You’ll put colleagues at the heart of every transformation, keeping them informed and supported while creating a positive experience through periods of significant change. By connecting programmes, stakeholders and priorities across business units, you’ll help BT deliver change at pace and build a simpler, stronger and more effective organisation.

What you’ll be doing

•Lead Transformation Programmes – Drive the delivery of people transformation initiatives across Networks, Digital and Corporate Units, turning strategic priorities into meaningful outcomes and ensuring change delivers lasting value for the business and our colleagues.
•Shape and Deliver Organisational Change – Play a key role in bringing organisation design, operating model, workforce and location strategy changes to life. Put colleagues at the heart of transformation, ensuring they feel supported, informed and equipped with the resources they need to navigate change with confidence.
•Build Trusted Partnerships and Influence Leaders – Work closely with HR Directors, HR Business Partners, business leaders and specialist teams to align priorities, overcome challenges and deliver at pace. Act as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities and shaping initiatives that support the transformation ambitions of Networks, Digital and Corporate Units.
•Connect Transformation and Drive Continuous Improvement – Take a joined-up view across projects and programmes, identifying opportunities, dependencies and risks to strengthen delivery and maximise impact. Build strong connections across business units, collaborating with BT’s Centres of Excellence, Consumer and UK Business portfolio to create a more coordinated and effective approach to transformation.

Essential Skills / Experience

•Bring strong end-to-end project and programme management skills, with the ability to shape solutions, constructively challenge thinking and bring specialists together to deliver successful outcomes.
•Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, confidently influencing decisions, challenging perspectives and bringing people together around shared priorities.
•Bring experience supporting organisational change, transformation or restructuring initiatives, helping organisations navigate change effectively while keeping people and business outcomes at the heart of delivery.

Desirable Skills / Experience

•Experience delivering business, people or organisational change initiatives in complex environments, ideally with an understanding of trade unions and collective consultation processes.
•Confident managing multiple priorities, balancing competing demands and coordinating diverse groups of contributors and stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
•Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, bring people together and build alignment around shared objectives.
•Proactively identify risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, taking ownership to resolve issues and keep transformation activity moving forward.
•Understand business priorities and commercial drivers, with the ability to contribute to compelling business cases and clear cases for change.
•Apply critical thinking and sound judgement to navigate challenges, make informed decisions and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
•Build effective working relationships across teams and functions, sharing knowledge and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes.
•Experience using desktop AI tools to enhance day-to-day work, with a curiosity and willingness to explore new technologies, streamline processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery.
