Flexible Working

The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.

BT Consumer

We run the biggest and best fixed broadband and mobile network services in the UK with an ambition to be the country’s most trusted connector of people. We bring together the BT, EE and Plusnet brands to serve more than 25 million subscribers and connect for good. Because we own the best networks for mobile and broadband, the biggest and most exciting tech brands in the world partner with us so we can bring our customers new products and services beyond the connectivity we’ve always been famous for. That includes gaming, TV, entertainment and home and cyber security.

We handle 100% of calls and customer enquiries from our UK-based contact centres. And we have more than 400 stores on high streets across the country, including our EE Studio and Experience stores that invite people to try new technology for themselves and see how it can make their lives better.

The Scope

Partners are at the heart of BT Consumer’s strategy, driving P&L objectives through trading activities, marketing support, and innovative collaborations in hardware, software, and content. The Partnerships division acts as the single entry point for all managed partners across Mobile, Tech, and Gaming, providing expertise in relationship management, commercial negotiation, and strategic planning.

As Partnerships Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of specific partners or product categories, managing end-to-end commercial performance, negotiations, and business planning. This includes monitoring sales, ensuring availability, driving profitable reinvestment, and collaborating with Finance, Trading, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams. Reporting to the Partnerships Principal, you will be accountable for delivering category P&L targets and shaping long-term growth strategies through data-driven insights and strong stakeholder engagement.

What you’ll be doing

Act as the primary point of contact for managed partners, ensuring consistent communication and alignment across BT Consumer and partner organisations.

Develop and maintain annual business plans and category roadmaps, including KPI tracking, full-year outlooks, and adjustments to meet trading targets.

Lead quarterly and ad hoc commercial negotiations, securing sign-off for high-value deals and defining commercial ambitions for major launches and bespoke initiatives.

Implement agreed pricing and promotional strategies through cross-functional teams, ensuring flawless execution and conducting post-implementation reviews.

Monitor sales performance, availability, and market share using data insights; provide actionable recommendations to maximise volume and value opportunities and shape partner messaging for business reviews.

Collaborate with Finance, Trading, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure accurate forecasting, stock availability, and compliance with partner marketing guidelines, including merchandising and launch execution.

Drive growth by identifying and unlocking new categories, innovative products, and service revenue streams aligned with BT’s strategic objectives, recommending devices and initiatives based on partner innovation or exclusivity.

Experience needed to be successful in the role

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and maximise opportunities that deliver value.

Proven experience in managing complex, high-value negotiations and achieving strong commercial outcomes.

Expertise in partnership management and business planning, including developing and evolving mid-to-long-term plans aligned to strategic objectives.

Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders, presenting and gaining support for high-impact initiatives.

Skilled in working within fast-paced, matrixed environments, demonstrating resilience and adaptability to change.

Extensive experience in the Mobile, Tech or Gaming sectors, with a solid understanding of market dynamics and retail industry trends.

Demonstrable track record of delivering against challenging targets and driving results through collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement.
