About the role

The Corporate Inside Sales team are a successful, diverse and sociable group, working together to drive new business and maintain customer loyalty. We are seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager as a direct report to the Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting our corporate customers across the regions base and delivering a relative sales target.

This role drives the delivery of profit and revenue growth across our established base whilst maintaining high NPS customer satisfaction scores each year.

This role will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing the diversity of customer accounts for the region through frequent and meaningful customer interactions, and careful planning and forecasting to ensure the best return on investment.

Sales excellence is only delivered by creating an environment for brilliant performance. This role will maintain a continual focus on demonstrating high standards and sales excellence, managing KPI’s, Salesforce hygiene and the full sales cycle across all opportunities. Also, by working collaboratively with the wider teams to achieve the best outcomes for your customers agreed partnership strategies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for accurate forecasting on both profit and revenue
  • In creating strategy plans with your customers, across all hierarchy and legal entities
  • Gaining outstanding feedback and positive net-promotor scores through BT’s customer surveys
  • In charge of closing own contract sales right across the BT enterprise portfolio
  • Working closely with product specialists, introducing their expertise to your customers to build the right solutions and to create value
  • Supporting the winning new business and bid process for high level opportunities
  • Uses research, data, analytics and commercial insights to drive sales and continual improvement
  • Driving your own results through consistent business development activities
  • Proactively manage churn risk across your base, defending the revenue
  • Accountable for assuring compliance with sales processes and our legal and competition requirements
  • Adheres to governance requirements of sales pay plan and sales incentives

Essential skills/experience

  • Experience in winning sales, either as part of an overall account team or with closing own contracts where acting as the single point of contact
  • Proven track record of delivering against targets within a sales role with accurate forecasting and consistent delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with customers and wider BT teams
  • Takes action based on analysis of trends including changing customer demand to enhance sales performance
  • Owns customer problems and delivers resolutions
  • Ability to deal with challenging customer predicaments and customer opportunities through internal escalation and senior stakeholder engagement
  • Works collaboratively with the wider sales community, providing and welcoming team feedback
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo where more effective and efficient routes are identified
  • Able to build C-level valuable relationships and identify customer champions, pains, needs etc

The skills you’ll need
