What you’ll be doing

  • Define and drive the Identity & Access Management strategy across BT Business.
  • Own and prioritise the Identity roadmap, aligning investment and delivery with business and customer outcomes.
  • Act as the business owner for identity demand, gathering and prioritising requirements across BT Business.
  • Partner with Digital teams to shape roadmaps and delivery priorities, ensuring identity capabilities deliver business value.
  • Establish governance standards, access models and role-based access principles.
  • Improve customer and colleague identity journeys, balancing usability, security and compliance.
  • Monitor performance and adoption, identifying opportunities for optimisation and future investment.
  • Build strong relationships across Customer Experience, Product, Digital, Security and Group Identity teams.
  • Champion simplification and innovation, reducing friction while maintaining effective controls.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance, CIAM and role-based access management, with experience shaping identity capabilities in a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven experience leading a product, platform, capability or service, including ownership of strategy, roadmap, governance and prioritisation.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivery teams to translate business needs into solutions that balance customer experience, security, compliance and commercial outcomes.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Knowledge of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), authentication and authorisation frameworks.
  • Experience designing customer or colleague identity experiences within digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience working in Agile and product-led environments.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and regulatory requirements relating to access management.
  • Experience driving stakeholder engagement, change and adoption of new capabilities.
