About the role

Join BT Business Marketing at a pivotal moment as we continue to transform into a truly customer-led, data-driven marketing organisation. As a Digital Marketing Automation Professional, you'll play a key role in delivering acquisition and upsell campaigns that drive growth across BT and EE Business.

Sitting within the Brand & Marketing team and working closely with Campaign Managers, you'll be responsible for turning marketing strategies into high-performing automated campaigns that reach SME, enterprise, and business customers at scale. This is a hands-on role focused on campaign build, audience segmentation, journey orchestration, and marketing automation excellence.

You'll work in a highly collaborative environment with marketing, commercial, analytics, and operational stakeholders, helping to deliver personalised customer experiences that improve conversion, increase revenue, and support wider business objectives. Success in this role means building and deploying campaigns accurately, efficiently, and at scale while continuously identifying opportunities to improve performance and customer engagement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and deploy multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, SMS, and digital channels using marketing automation platforms
  • Own the end-to-end technical delivery of acquisition, upsell, and retention campaigns from build through to launch
  • Translate campaign strategies and commercial objectives into scalable automated customer journeys
  • Segment large customer and prospect datasets to deliver targeted, personalised communications
  • Design, build, and optimise workflows that support customer lifecycle and revenue growth objectives
  • Manage campaign QA, governance, and compliance processes to ensure accurate and high-quality execution
  • Monitor live campaigns and automated journeys, proactively resolving issues to minimise business impact
  • Partner with Campaign Managers to refine campaign requirements and improve execution effectiveness
  • Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and commercial outcomes
  • Maintain robust records, journey documentation, and operational processes to support campaign governance
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, process enhancements, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure campaigns align with wider marketing and commercial priorities

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience building and deploying campaigns within a marketing automation platform such as Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Adobe Campaign, or similar
  • Strong background in digital marketing, direct marketing, marketing operations, or marketing technology
  • Experience working with large customer datasets, audience segmentation, and targeting logic
  • Ability to translate campaign requirements into automated workflows and scalable customer journeys
  • Experience managing end-to-end campaign delivery from brief through to deployment and optimisation
  • Strong attention to detail with experience of campaign QA, governance, and compliance processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver campaigns to tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • An inquisitive, proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
  • Understanding of how marketing activity contributes to commercial outcomes such as acquisition, conversion, revenue growth, and customer engagement

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience within telecommunications, technology, SaaS, or other fast-paced digital industries
  • B2B marketing experience
  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Litmus, Salesforce, or similar marketing technology platforms
  • Knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing and marketing personalisation strategies
  • Experience owning campaigns from strategy through to execution and optimisation
