About the role

The Digital Design Professional is responsible for designing and developing engaging digital learning solutions that build capability, enhance business performance and enable successful change adoption across BT Business. Working closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and change teams, you will translate business requirements into effective digital learning experiences that support the adoption of new systems, products, processes and ways of working.

The role contributes directly to BT's transformation agenda by creating scalable, high-quality digital learning content, simulations, videos and performance support resources that help colleagues build confidence and capability at pace. You will leverage modern learning technologies, data insights and, where appropriate, AI-enabled tools to enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions, while maintaining a strong focus on learner experience, accessibility and measurable business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

•Design and develop engaging digital learning solutions across a range of modalities, including e-learning, simulations, video and performance support resources.
•Build interactive learning experiences using digital authoring and content development tools.
•Design learning solutions that support the successful adoption of new systems, products, processes and ways of working.
•Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand learning requirements and recommend appropriate digital learning solutions.
•Create high-quality digital learning assets, including videos, simulations, assessments, job aids and supporting learning materials.
•Use learner feedback, performance data and learning analytics to evaluate and continuously improve learning solutions.
•Apply instructional design principles and best practice to create engaging, effective and learner-centred experiences.
•Ensure all learning solutions meet accessibility, inclusion and quality standards.
•Leverage AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to support content creation, media production and design efficiency.
•Manage multiple design and development activities while maintaining quality and meeting delivery timelines.
•Share knowledge, best practice and lessons learned across the wider Learning & Development community.
•Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital learning standards, processes, governance and ways of working.

Essential Skills / Experience

•Experience designing and developing digital learning solutions.
•Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning practices.
•Experience using digital authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise or equivalent platforms.

Desirable Skills / Experience

•Experience designing and developing digital learning content, including e-learning, simulations, video and performance support resources.
•Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to agreed deadlines.
•Understanding of accessibility, inclusive design principles and digital learning standards.
•Experience using learner feedback, performance data and learning analytics to improve learning effectiveness.
•Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
•Experience supporting organisational change through effective learning solutions.
•Experience using tools such as Synthesia, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar digital content creation platforms.
•Experience developing software or business process simulations.
•Knowledge of learning analytics and learning measurement frameworks.
•Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve content creation and development efficiency.
•Experience working within large-scale transformation or change programmes.
•Knowledge of telecommunications, technology or business systems environments.
