Job Description

Why this job matters

The Compliance Manager manages a team to design and develop key compliance management programmes ensuring compliance and adherence with international regulatory and partner obligations across the Group's international markets.

What you’ll be doing

1. Manages a team in the delivery of compliance programmes defined by the Compliance Director contributing to a 'best-in-class' compliance programme, promoting ethical behavior and building a strong 'compliance culture' from management downwards.
2. Manages a team of compliance professionals in building relationships and counselling stakeholders on commercial and reputational risk, leading discussions on risk management and ethical practices in a user-friendly and pragmatic manner.
3. Manages a team in the delivery of advice, training, communications, templates and tools, setting and monitoring KPIs, and delivering on key processes including risk assessments and investigations when assigned to execute on them.
4. Coordinates with management and key functions (such as Internal Audit, HR, Finance, Controllership) to ensure there are adequate internal controls to achieve the Group's compliance objectives.
5. Manages a team in executing the implementation of the Compliance testing and assurance programme, including the risk-based compliance risk assessment, control testing and assurance plan, and related testing scopes.
6. Leads assurance reviews and testing activities leveraging skills and the Group's resources and data analytics capacities.
7. Coordinates improvement in compliance efficiencies through identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and Group standards and the automation of queries and dashboards to drive more frequent testing and informative insights.
8. Manages project plans to address remediation efforts and testing review findings, including process updates, documentation and / or training.
9. Leads the execution of multiple concurrent reviews which may be local or multi-jurisdictional, including subsequent management reporting related to reviewing outcomes and findings.
10. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Compliance.
11. Coaches talent, and manages others, to develop capabilities and ensure performance through upskilling, development and recruitment.
