Job Description
Maersk is seeking a Compliance Platform Product Owner to bridge the gap between compliance and technology, transforming regulatory requirements and data insights into actionable compliance solutions that drive business value and ensure adherence to global standards.
We imagine you to:
Drive and oversee the development and management of compliance solutions to ensure alignment with international compliance regulations and company policies.
Drive the creation of user-friendly, efficient, and effective compliance tools that streamline processes and mitigate operational risks.
Coordinate the product strategy, with a focus on compliance screening, prioritizing features and product enhancements based on business needs and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, IT, and business units, to deliver tailored solutions that support regulatory adherence and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
Operate within the constraints of regulatory frameworks to ensure sustainable, long-term compliance practices.
Support the company’s commitment to safe, compliant shipping practices by ensuring products meet operational goals and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, has strong product management and business analysis skills, and is experienced in working within a compliance or highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
Define and own the product roadmap for compliance technology projects, with a focus on compliance screening, ensuring alignment with the broader compliance strategy.
Translate compliance requirements into product features, with a focus on screening, monitoring, and digitalization.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology, data, and automation to enhance compliance operations.
Coordinate across a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, including compliance teams, IT, data specialists, and external vendors.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Act as the main point of contact for compliance technology projects, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement throughout the product lifecycle.
Work closely with the Head of Compliance Risk, Controls & Data Insights to ensure technology solutions meet regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
Contribute to the development of content for compliance tools, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
Required Experience, Skills & Qualification:
8+ years' experience with managing international, cross functional projects.
Ideally experience and/or exposure with Sanctions and Anti-Corruption compliance.
Collaborative work style which fosters cooperation, teamwork, and stakeholder management.
Have strong time management to manage multiple priorities.
Strong capacity to coordinate and translate between various stakeholders with the objective of timely and successful project delivery.
Ability to communicate compliance requirements clearly to non-technical and technical stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data and situations to make informed decisions.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft365 suite, project management tools (Jira) and data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI)
Experience with agile methodologies and product management.
Familiarity with system integration and API usage.
High integrity and personal ethics, professional in communication, ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations.
