As the Commercial Finance Manager, Bid Specialist, it will be your responsibility to provide financial, commercial, and strategic analysis and advice to construct and shape commercial propositions and complex bids. The ability to win and retain profitable business across key Wholesale accounts on strategic deals is crucial in this role.

You will excel in managing your network of stakeholders and demonstrate exceptional creative and commercial thinking, enabling you to improve profitability and identify new opportunities.

You will work in a highly respected team in the Business finance world, working on significant deals - high in value and profile. Career progression opportunities are strong, and this role will help springboard your career, with line management experience. You will also benefit from working with new products to market, as well as new business ventures and ideas.

What you’ll be doing

Takes accountability for discreet and/or complex bids within the Mobile sector (or other sectors if required from time to time)

Production of bid P&L and cash flow for complex and non-standard bids

Influencing commercial deal strategy

Line manager of a graduate

Identify and quantify financial risks, a key input to the bid judgement process

On time and accurate completion of finance briefing for appropriate sign off having applied best practices

Ensure accurate completion of customer pricing schedules

Scenario and sensitivity modelling, assuring appropriate investment appraisal for BT

Managing inputs from other members of the bid team (Product, Technical, Service, Group finance, HR etc.)

Identify, understand and challenge the risks, assumptions, drivers and interdependencies

Skills

Senior Stakeholder experience and working within matrixed environments

Experience of working with commercial and operational teams to deliver bid proposals

Ability to operate under pressure of deadline driven sales environment

Be willing to voice your view and look at the “art of the possible”.

Able to create a clear vision, delivering against key metrics

Demonstrates an high level of analytical capability

A proven track record of effectively influencing senior stakeholders from both an internal (company strategic priorities) and external perspective

Involvement and participation in external customer negotiations
