Why this job matters
As an Engineering associate at BT within the Digital Integration platform, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Microservice platform. This role provides substantial career advancement opportunities as you contribute to the design and development of BT’s next-generation Micro Service Platform.
What you’ll be doing
• Proficiency in Core Java: Strong knowledge of OOP concepts (Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, Encapsulation), collections, multithreading, and exception handling.
• Java Frameworks: Hands-on experience with popular frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security) and Hibernate/JPA.
• Databases: Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, including strong SQL proficiency. Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.
• Web Technologies: Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate seamless integration.
• Development Tools: Proficiency with version control systems (Git), build tools (Maven or Gradle), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• APIs and Web Services: Experience in creating and developing RESTful APIs and knowing data interchange formats like JSON and XML
The skills you’ll need
• Min 2+ Years of hands-on experience on java-based application, preferably spring / spring boot based micro service.
• Hands on experience in maintaining enterprise level Micro Service platform infrastructure with constant endeavour for operational efficiency.
• Should be able to work with stake holder and know business requirement
• Strong methodical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a quick learner, with a passion for continuous improvement.
Good to Have:
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
