How You'll Make An Impact

The IT Procurement Sourcing Manager contributes to Boomi’s success by effectively developing and supporting sourcing strategies, effectively managing suppliers and internal stakeholder networks to deliver best in class performance for the relevant spend areas including but not limited to IT and Consulting. They consistently deliver measurable and strategic goals to enable a competitive advantage to bottom-line and top-line company growth. You will be part of a team that manages the Procurement Global Spend of >$150 Million. The IT Procurement Sourcing Manager is an individual contributor role.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the contract life cycle for some of the following Categories; Software, Consulting, and other spend categories as assigned.

  • Comfortable developing and managing Data Analytics and Dashboards; highly proficient in Excel.

  • Collaborates effectively internally with Stakeholders and Suppliers.

  • Compiles key market intelligence on key categories and suppliers

  • Develops new effective business and professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players.

  • Employs project management tools, solutions and techniques.

  • Draft and redline a wide variety of agreements, such as Software License Agreements, Master Agreements, SOW’s etc.

  • Effectively manages multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Independently solves problems and makes decisions for primary and strategic execution and tactical issues within the relevant portfolio of projects and or processes.

  • Deliver value and savings back to the business in the form of reduced pricing, additional products, and/or concessions. This position will have an individual savings target.

  • Negotiate business terms such as pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, price protection etc.

  • Effectively communicate both positive and negative messages to suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The Experience You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement with an emphasis in Software. Experience in one or more categories, including IT hardware/software, and Professional Services/Consulting.

  • In depth knowledge and experience in managing procurement projects in indirect spend categories

  • Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices

  • Ability to influence at a Management Level both internally and externally.

  • Ability to lead and influence peer groups both internally and externally

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication

  • Strong experience with P2P Solutions like NetSuite, Ariba, One Trust, CLM’s etc.

  • Ability to manage and drive RFP’s and RFQ’s in systems like Workday.

  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers

  • Ability and comfort to manage in a fast/ambiguous environment.

  • Works well under pressure, ability to multitask, and is comfortable working under minimal direction.

  • Vendor risk management experience.

  • Experience in Supplier engagement: Onboarding, pricing and contract negotiation, performance management ,Capacity and supply planning

  • Experience in driving a change with process improvement and required system definition and implementation

  • B.S./B.A. in a technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience strongly preferred.

  • 2+ years of formal project management skills and/or analytics experience are a strong plus

Compensation and Benefits

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 - $125,0000 + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
