About the role

As the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the HSEQ team and colleagues, focusing on maintaining high standards of quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recording and reporting on HSEQ Events (NCR, observations, incidents, etc.), ensuring compliance with procedures and monitoring the implementation of control measures.
  • Managing and conducting schedule of evaluation/inspection activities to monitor compliance.
  • Staying updated on Acts, Regulations, Rules, and Codes of Practice relevant to BMT's business and industry performance.
  • Conducting internal audits against ISO, local IMS processes, and relevant legislation.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of IMS processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date HSEQ data in internal systems and record keeping.
  • Facilitating employee training and inductions.
  • Administering monthly and quarterly reporting within the region.
  • Conducting office site inspections as required.
  • Managing first aid requirements and BMT's Environmental Aspects Register.
  • Handling PPE stock and issuing PPE as needed.
  • Providing additional administrative support to the HSEQ team as necessary.

In terms of location, our offices are in Bath, Bristol, London, Fareham, Weymouth & Plymouth, offering flexible and hybrid working arrangements for this full-time position.

About you

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Knowledge of country Environmental and Work Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

If you have any of the below, that would be great but if not, please do apply anyway as full training will be given.

  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Certifications in Training or Auditing, such as Quality Auditor or Cert IV Training.
  • Exposure to the consultancy industry in Engineering and/or Defence sectors.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar systems.
