Job Description:
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives as well as Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) principles within Enterprise IT through the delivery of Programmes and Projects (P&P). You will drive operational efficiencies, optimise project flow and resource utilisation, and enhance delivery performance through structured transformation activity.
You will lead the development of CI governance, tools, reporting frameworks, and agile delivery practices while coaching future CI specialists and supporting matrix delivery teams. Working closely with stakeholders across functions and programmes, you will ensure CCPM and CI methodologies are consistently embedded to support strategic business objectives.
Core duties:
- Lead and facilitate Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) activities, ensuring alignment to organisational priorities, delivery timelines, and strategic transformation objectives
- Manage the Continuous Improvement portfolio across Enterprise IT and Programmes & Projects, including backlog prioritisation, governance, and delivery of measurable operational and financial benefits
- Manage the full project lifecycle of the Critical Chain initiative; including planning, resource management, risk mitigation, cost control, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement
- Develop and enhance CI governance frameworks, operational processes, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to support performance tracking and informed decision-making
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and guidance to operational delivery resources and future CI team members, embedding best practice project management standards
Essential Skills:
- Experience in transformation, project delivery, or continuous improvement initiatives within complex organisations that understand change management principles and the ability to embed sustainable operational improvements
- Knowledge and practical application of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM), Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar delivery methodologies
- Experience managing projects, programmes, or portfolios, including prioritisation, governance, risk management, and benefits delivery
- Experience developing and using KPIs, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and project management or CI toolsets to support performance and decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior leadership and cross-functional teams
