The future is ELECTRIC!! Join us to build the exciting future of Electrical Systems engineering at Airbus Helicopters together!

You will work within the Engineering Directorate in the Electrical Design and Integration department, accountable for the architecture, design and integration of E-Systems.

In an environment of trust and mutual support, the multidisciplinary E-Systems teams are fully accountable for:

  • Developing the “E-Systems Métier” towards the future for its full sustainability by leveraging innovation, digital solutions, streamlined processes and key competences, with the aim of creating assets and added value for the Company and our Customers;
  • Delivering cutting edge technical solutions to secure our Helicopters’ development and operations in order to fully satisfy our Customers;

Within the E-Systems’ organization, you will be the owner of the transformation roadmap and you will be in charge of coordinating and executing all transformation projects and activities on behalf of the department, in continuous contact and alignment with our teams, our customers and stakeholders.

Main activities and responsibilities:

The job holder will be in charge of:

  • The strategy of the projects’ portfolio towards E-Systems transformation ambition: develop the policy / strategy for the projects’ portfolio in order to secure the overall target and ambition. Ensure implementation and application of the strategy within the area of responsibility.
  • Projects’ portfolio financial control: ensure projects’ funding availability by lobbying and aligning with the different budget owners and sponsors. Execute the projects in full compliance with the agreed business case by contributing to meet the planned financial figures with the right performance. Continuously monitor and control projects’ schedule and actively manage related risks and opportunities.
  • Projects’ portfolio setup and execution: lead the execution of the portfolio of projects (including all projects’ phases, set-up, ramp-up, execution and closure), within time, cost, quality and performance in full alignment with the related strategic requirements.
  • Projects’ portfolio related arbitration and decision making: ensure continuous arbitration and decision making in case of deviation to plan including potential renegotiation of project objectives with projects’ sponsors, when necessary. Negotiate and harmonize requirements/specifications with sponsors/customers.
  • Cross-functional alignment: lead and align all involved functions within the MFTs, ranging from procurement, to engineering, to manufacturing, to customer services in a full trans-national fashion. Ensure support functions like IT are also fully connected when relevant and needed.
  • Customers centricity and relationship: ensure continuous communication to internal and external Customers in order to secure the relationship and their full satisfaction. Ensure their needs are fully taken into account and that the projects deliver in order to fulfill their expectations.
  • Leading People: leadership through impactful communication in order to engage/motivate team members and all stakeholders during execution and deployment. Support employees and ensure their individual development in the frame of the projects in full alignment and coordination with their hierarchies. Implement necessary measures to ensure efficient staffing, governance and ways of working within the area of responsibility.

Availability to travel for Business trips mainly in Europe is required and, as a result, you must be willing to travel accordingly.

Required competences

  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex transformation projects towards visible results;
  • Good understanding of E-Systems technical workflow: inputs/outputs and requirements;
  • Excellent project management proficiency and communication skills;
  • Readiness to take full accountability for the given perimeter in an extremely challenging environment and very high-level exposure;
  • Problem-welcome attitude, ability to give structure and to autonomously take initiative in solving road blockers;
  • Well developed leadership skills towards change management: ability to positively motivate, engage, give meaning to the individuals and teams and strive to support them through each and every challenge/difficulty;
  • Mastering French and English in written and spoken is mandatory;
  • Advanced skills in German could be an advantage;
  • Readiness to step-out of the comfort zone and have fun!

This position requires security clearance or requires being eligible for clearance by recognized authorities.
