HR IT Product Leader

Salary:  £70,000 per annum

Job Title: HR IT Product Leader

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £70,000 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the development of product delivery strategies and roadmaps, identifying opportunities, prioritising feature delivery agreed by the function, and guiding the product development process
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, engineering, architecture, operations teams, and software vendors

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and applications
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define technical requirements, address implementation challenges, and maintain product integrity throughout the process
  • Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Schedule and facilitate regular product workshops with users and other relevant stakeholder to understand business priorities for application enhancement
  • Build and maintain an ever-green product backlog containing all required enhancements, changes, defects, research spikes and technical debt that require implementation by the corresponding DevOps delivery team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a senior product management role, with a proven record of successful product development and delivery in an enterprise IT environment
  • Success Factors experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Operational management experience of a product portfolio

The Enterprise IT Products and Application team:

You will assume a senior leadership role in driving the strategic direction, development, deployment, and operation of software products and applications for HR systems. You will have overarching responsibility for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to delivery, ensuring that initiatives align with both business objectives and technological capabilities. Your strategic vision and expertise will be crucial in leading cross-functional teams, shaping the product management process, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
