HR Business Partner

Salary:  £42,132 per annum

Job Description

Job title: HR Business Partner

Location: Radway Green

Salary: Circa £ 45,000 (depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building a strong HR presence, partnering with senior site leadership to align HR initiatives with business strategy and ensuring a people-first approach across Radway Green
  • Ensuring line managers understand the routes to take in addressing administrative and ER related issues e.g. Helpdesk and Case Coaching
  • Contribute to the development of the business People Strategy and executing the People Plan, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives
  • Proactively making changes to improve attendance and engagement levels across the site
  • Collaborating, coordinating, aligning and leveraging the HR function and resources, within the business, the CoE and HR Shared Services to deliver the business People Plan
  • Supporting the delivery of HR projects in alignment with the People Plan
  • Providing advice and coaching to line management and senior leaders on people related business matters aligned to policy, process and legal compliance

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent including CIPD level 7
  • Experience of HR in a unionised business
  • Well-practiced in coaching managers day to day to enhance their knowledge, skills and capability
  • Experienced of supporting a large workforce in a manufacturing/engineering site (100 – 300c)
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality

Desirable:

  • Worked within an organisation that has an outsourced transactional HR
  • Successfully delivered HR projects

The team:

Albeit a standalone role you will join a small team of seven who support the Munitions’ business and report to a Senior HRBP based on the Glascoed site. The team is close-knit, supportive and high performing focussing on providing HR support to business performance as HR transactional activities are discharged through a shared service organisation. Having won several internal awards in the last couple of years supporting the fast-paced, growing business. Our recent merger with Maritime Services to become Defence Solutions provides further opportunity for collaboration and development.
