Job Description

Job Title: Business Management Officer

Location: Taipei, office based

Salary: Competitive

What you’ll be doing:

  • Run the office efficiently and effectively, ensuring that the business governance priorities and activities delegated by the Country Director are actioned within the office, and across their team, as appropriate
  • Be the in-country lead for business exhibitions and trade shows, collaborating across sectors to support with logistics of travel arrangements and supporting the Country Director with customer invites
  • Support the Country Director with incoming visits, conference room bookings, travel bookings and accommodation arrangements where appropriate (including security and screening requirements)
  • Act as the facilities management lead for office maintenance and/or improvement, include providing local IT service management (e.g. local Wi-Fi, printer, other assets)
  • Manage the induction of new team members to (conduct workshops, coordination of induction process)
  • Responsibility for local records and information management. Act as office SharePoint Champion or support Regional SharePoint Champion where appropriate. Physical information management responsibility in line with local record retention schedule and conduct regular physical reviews

Your skills and experiences:

  • Outstanding administrative, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to achieve stretching deadlines/deliverables on a range of activities at any one time
  • Excellent IT skills – advanced knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint
  • Experience of using digital communication mediums
  • Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English

The team:

BAE Systems Taiwan Global Business Development is seeking a Business Management Officer to be part of our team based in Taipei, Taiwan. Reporting into the Country Director you will be responsible for providing high level business support and ensuring the smooth running of the office. Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of department security, health and safety, business continuity, wellbeing, data management and reporting, IT procedures within the team and oversee export control compliance.
