What to Expect

As an AI Data Engineer, you will support teams in creating innovative software solutions through various tasks that support evaluating and fine-tuning AI models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cleanse datasets for use in training and evaluating AI models, including manual and automated data creation.
  • Building pipelines for collecting and formatting data.
  • Annotation and labelling of data to enrich inputs and evaluate outputs.
  • Reviewing outputs and building tooling to coordinate the reviewing of outputs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for data and review processes.
  • Research state of the art tooling for data preparation, cleansing, reviewing and producing synthetic data.
  • Document and communicate findings and methodologies to team members and stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proficiency in data handling and manipulation.
  • Coding experience such as Python/JavaScript.
  • Experience with databases and database querying languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Familiarity with data annotation tools for labelling various types of data.
  • Analytical thinking and data analysis skills are required to be robust and to evaluate results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • High level of adaptability to support a wide range of research areas.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a technical role or equivalent skillset.
