Shape better digital experiences for customers, brokers and colleagues at Admiral Business.
This is more than a Product Designer role. You’ll be leading design within a cross-functional team, using customer insight, evidence and creativity to shape accessible, intuitive digital products and services as Admiral Business continues to grow.
Working across products and services that support customers, brokers and colleagues, you’ll play a key role in helping define digital experiences from the ground up. Your ideas will help shape customer journeys, influence how our design practice develops and contribute to the future success of Admiral Business.
As we continue to grow, so will the opportunity to influence our design system, improve how teams work with design and help shape the responsible use of AI across product development.
Why this role matters
Admiral Business is growing quickly, and design has an important role in helping us scale effectively. As a Product Designer, you’ll help establish the standards, systems and customer-centred approach that will underpin how we deliver consistent, accessible and high-quality digital experiences.
You’ll work closely with product managers, developers and stakeholders, seeing your work through from insight to delivery and helping teams make better decisions through evidence, research and experimentation.

What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct and facilitate user research, including customer interviews, usability testing, surveys and other insight activities.
- Translate customer needs, behaviours and pain points into design decisions that improve the customer experience.
- Own design deliverables throughout the product lifecycle, from journey mapping and early concepts through to high-fidelity UI designs.
- Design accessible, intuitive and scalable mobile-first experiences that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Design and run data-informed experiments to test assumptions, validate customer needs and identify effective solutions.
- Help shape and evolve our design system, supporting consistency, scalability and quality across digital touchpoints.
- Use AI tools to improve design workflows across research, ideation, prototyping and delivery.
- Support responsible AI adoption across product teams and help identify opportunities to improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working as a Product Designer within a product, digital service, fintech, insurtech or similar environment.
- Strong research, testing and experimentation skills, with experience using methods such as interviews, usability testing, A/B testing.
- Advanced visual and interaction design skills, with a strong eye for detail and experience creating simple, functional and scalable designs.
- Experience working with design systems and contributing to their development or maintenance.
- A strong understanding of customer journeys across multiple digital touchpoints.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions, rationale and assumptions.
- A collaborative approach, with experience facilitating workshops and bringing different perspectives together.
- Confidence working with ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities and using evidence to guide decisions.
- A commitment to continuous learning across design, technology, AI tools and user experience.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting or contributing to a design community or design practice.
- An interest in growing into a broader design leadership role.
