Job Description

We're looking for an exceptional Principal Product Designer, Future Experiences to help define the future of digital shopping. This is a highly strategic role focused on the next 2 to 5 years, identifying and shaping the customer experiences, propositions and services that will drive our future growth.

You'll work at the intersection of customer needs, commercial strategy, emerging technology and experience design, exploring how capabilities such as AI-assisted shopping, personalisation, loyalty and rewards can come together to create fundamentally better customer experiences.

As a senior design leader, you'll influence business strategy, shape long-term vision and partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Data and AI to help define what we should build next and why.

  • Developing a compelling 2 to 5 year vision for the future of digital shopping
  • Identifying and defining new customer propositions, services and experiences
  • Shaping the strategic CX vision and principles that guide future digital shopping experiences
  • Exploring emerging technologies and interaction models to unlock new opportunities for customers
  • Creating future concepts, prototypes and narratives that bring ideas to life
  • Ensuring new propositions connect effectively with existing capabilities such as AI, loyalty and personalisation
  • Partnering with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Data and AI leaders to influence strategic roadmaps
  • Acting as a senior design thought partner to business and technology leaders
  • Helping senior stakeholders make informed investment decisions based on customer and market opportunities
  • Driving alignment around the future direction of digital shopping and customer experience strategy
  • Extensive experience leading strategic product and customer experience design initiatives
  • A strong track record of defining long-term product, proposition or experience visions
  • Expertise in translating customer needs, market opportunities and emerging technologies into compelling future concepts
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to connect complex ecosystems, products and services
  • Experience using research, insights and prototyping to explore future opportunities and shape business decisions
  • A deep understanding of digital products, customer experience design and innovation
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, conversational experiences and agentic commerce
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify ambiguity and inspire action
  • The confidence to challenge thinking and influence strategic investment decisions
